Today we have an exciting devRant announcement! As many observant members of the community have problably noticed, since launch we've been using the domain name devrant.io since the .com was already taken. Today, we're happy to announce, we now own devrant.com and it is now the official devRant URL!
How did this happen you ask? The devrant.com domain was already owned by a developer named Wiard when we launched devRant. It took a while to track him down, but when we did, turned out he saw the good we were doing and wanted to help the devRant community by generously offering us the .com domain for a very reasonable exchange (considering that we are a self-funded bootstrapped startup!).
Since Wiard recently started writing a blog on devrant.com, he had to find a new home for it. His new blog is https://sysrant.com and I encourage everyone to check it out! Great topical/educational dev/sys-admin related articles? Check. Someone who cares about the devRant community and allowed us to leave the firey hell that is .io? Check. So check it out!!
Some technical info:
This change is immediate and all devrant.io non-api requests will now redirect to devrant.com. We might have missed a few things (purposely or accidentely) so we're going to be going through and converting anything that's left. If you use the devRant API, your implementation should not break since API requests are meant to be excluded for now, but I highly recommend switching any API URLs to https://devrant.com so you can avoid issues in the future if we decide to stop redirecting devrant.io API requests. Also one note, there was an issue for about a minute after we turned on the redirected where some API requests to devrant.io might have 301 redirected to devrant.com. If an app you were using broke, try clearing whatever cache the 301 redirect might be stored in and the issue should go away.
Feel free to post any questions you might have here (and please let me know about any issues you might discover!), and once again, huge thanks to Wiard!

Long but worth it...
So I was cleaning out my Google Drive last night, and deleted some old (2 years and up) files. I also deleted my old work folder, it was for an ISP I worked for over 2 years ago. After deleting the files I had a little twinge of "Man I hope they're not still using those". But seriously, it'd be a pretty big security risk if I was still the owner of those files... right? Surely they copied them and deleted all the info from the originals. IP addresses, Cisco configs, username and passwords for various devices, pretty much everything but customer info.
Guess who I get a call from this morning... "Hi this is Debbie from 'ISP'. I was trying to access the IP Master List and I can't anymore. I was just told to call you and see if there's any way to get access to it again" (Not her real name...)
I had to put her on hold so I could almost die of laughter...
Me: "Sorry about that Debbie, I haven't worked for that company for over 2 years. Your telling me in all that time no one thought to save them locally? No one made a copy? I still had the original documents?!"
Long pause
D: "Uh... Apparently not..."
Another long pause
D: "So is there any way you can give me access to them again?"
Me: "They're gone Debbie. I deleted them all last night."
D: Very worried voice "Can... Can you check?"
This kids is why you never assume you'll always have access to a cloud stored file, make local copies!!
A little bit of background on this company, the owner's wife fired me on trumped up "time card discrepancy" issues so she could hire her freshly graduated business major son. The environment over there was pretty toxic anyway...
I feel bad for "Debbie" and the other staff there, it's going to be a very bad week for them. I also hope it doesn't impact any customers. But... It is funny as hell, especially since I warned the owner as I was clearing out my desk to save copies, and plan on them being gone soon. Apparently he never listened.
This is why you should have a plan in place... And not just wing it...
PS. First Post!25 -
EDIT: since this announcement, collabs have been made free to post for all devRant members!
Introducing two big new devRant features!
First, the one @trogus and I are most excited about - Collabs!
Collabs are an easy way to start projects or work on existing projects with the awesome members of the devRant community. You can post a collab listing for the awesome open source project you started that could use some more contributors, that fun idea you have for a brand new project, or really anything you want to gather some fellow devs for. We think it will be a lot of fun.
Collabs also is a devRant first - it's our first paid feature. For each 2 week collab posting, we're charging $14.99. But we wanted to make sure to thank devRant users who have been with us for a while and anyone who contributes often, so anyone with 2,000 points or higher (now or in the future) gets one free collab listing!
The main reason we see collabs as a great first paid feature is because requiring payment or 2,000 points serves to be a slight barrier in posting a collab. We think for collaborations to be successful it's important to have some way to keep out listings where the poster has no intent of following through and we hope this is a good start to doing that.
NOTE: if the collab you are looking to create is devRant-centric (ex. a devRant Chrome extension), we will give you a free credit especially for that so you don't have to pay or use your earned free one. Just contact us (info@devrant.io) if your project falls into that category.
In addition, after tons of demand from the community, you can now change your username and email address! One important note is that you only get to change your username one time every 6 months, so use it cautiously :) You can access this feature in the "more" tab, then settings, then "Edit username or email."
If you have any questions or feedback about any of this, just let us know! We hope everyone enjoys :)

!!abuse
I'm a victim of rather severe child abuse, both physical and mental. I've cut my mother out of my life on several occasions, and disowned her husband on father's day a few years ago. Whenever they're in my life they make things slowly but significantly worse.
They'd been using my previous hard times to push their way into my life again, and are now trying to buy their way in -- this time not into my life, but into my 2yo son's life.
I've done everything I could to keep his existence from them. I hid pregnancy from them, dropped any mew mannerisms and cute vocabulary when speaking to them, never let them see toys or hear sounds if I needed to call them, hid the carseat, etc. I did a perfect job. Out of necessity I've been hiding my life from them since I was 13, and I've never done better than this.
But they knew his name, sex, and age. This means they went digging, and a bloody lot. There is literally no public info relating him to me, and nobody that knows us would tell them, either -- they all know and understand.
For years I've refused to tell these people where I lived, too. We've been here for over five years, and three years ago they just randomly showed up at our door. I never gave them an address, and the house isn't in my name. I never had any privacy when I lived with them, either -- literally not even in the bathroom -- but now we have our own house and they still randomly intrude? asldhflakshdf
But. This Christmas Eve, we got two large boxes (fruit flats) stacked full of presents from them. A third for me, a third for my girlfriend, and a third for my 2yo. Name tags and all.
Why can't they just leave us alone? On Christmas of all holidays? Why do they have to ruin everything? Why can't they just go away?
I've made things abundantly clear, and they just. won't. stop. I feel so angry and exasperated and helpless and trapped. I went from listening to "die in a fire" to crying helplessly on the stairs. All I want is to be left alone and not harassed and blackmailed and manipulated and guilted and given expired food as "gifts."
and before you ever even think to defend them, please re-read my first three sentences.
Just.
Merry fucking Christmas.rant merry fucking christmas all i want is to be left alone child abuse i'm just done. personal why is that so much to ask?42 -
Yesterday I used a company service account to email over 1,000 internal employees (mostly application managers and the like) about an old OS version their servers are using which must be upgraded in a few months. It's an automated email that will repeat each month until the servers are upgraded.
That is not the part that might get me fired.
The part that might get me fired is an easter egg I left in the html content of the email itself.
In the embedded html of the message, I buried a comment block that contains a full-screen ascii-art drawing of a spooky tree and grim reaper standing beside a tombstone. The tombstone has the OS info and dates on it. Beneath the ascii-art is a bastardized quote in homage to Metallica's "For Whom The Bell Tolls", referring to the OS end-of-life.
The ascii-art is visible in both the html and the internal git repo that contains the email template.
This is a bit of a shoe-horn for this weekly group rant, as I doubt there is any chance I would really be fired over this, as I (sadly) expect that absolutely NO ONE who receives the messages will ever actually see the comments. But it's out there in the corporate network now... and will be sent over and over for the next few months...
There is a better chance someone may catch the easter egg in the git repo, but I kind-of doubt that, too - so I wanted to at least share with my devRant friends that it's out there, so at least someone else knows than just me. 😝6 -
Mark.
Mark was a support guy who could have been replaced by a robot. Nearly every support request that came in, whether it made sense or not, had a reply saying:
"Thank you for your query, I will escalate with the development team"
...and then I would have a message saying:
"Hi Almond urgent issue case xxx - I think you need to PLEASE CHECK LOGS" (yes, with that capitalisation.)
I'd then look at the case, take 10 seconds to work out the customer had done something stupid when calling our API (often forgetting their authentication details, despite a clear message telling them as such) and tell Mark what the issue was, and how to find it for himself next time. I'd then usually get:
"Thank you but PLEASE CHECK LOGS to see if there is any more info we can provide to customer"
...there would be more back and forth, and then eventually something like the following would reach the customer...
"Very sorry the development team have a major issue they will fix very soon but in the meantime a workaround is (instructions for using authentication details)"

I was registering for a website, and on a whim, I used this as my username:
null'); PRINT('Hello');--
And sure enough, the login system went down. The next day it was still down, so I went to Twitter to tell the people running the site that this was why, but to my surprise, I see them saying they had been hacked.
Based on the timing, I'm pretty sure they're referring to this, but they are saying user info was stolen. *facepalm*
They later said they stored passwords salted with a fixed salt and hashed with fucking md5, at which point I was glad not to have done any more business with them.
How incompetent can these fucking people be?!14 -
I'm hiring and I'm fucking done with recruiters buttering up skills etc and sending me BS candidates.
Interview earlier today...
CV: MySql skill level 10 (out of 10)
Reality: Can't write a simple JOIN!
Yesterday...
CV: PHP 6+ years exp, self proclaimed ninja/jedi/oracle.
Reality:
[Me]: Write me a function to map an array to x.
[Ninja]: What's an array?
I've come to the conclusion that the type of dev I want on my team is highly unlikely to be looking for work much less using some piece of shit shady agent to find work so I need to hunt him / her down personally and can use the phenomenally large recruiters fee as a hiring bonus / incentive.
Only problem now is finding quality full stack devs in the area (Johannesburg, South Africa).
I'm thinking of posting a 'challenge' job add to filter out good candidates - some kind of code challenge to be solved that gives them my contact info. Any one have any creative ideas I could try?31 -
So this chick has been super nice to me for the past few months, and has been trying to push me towards a role in security. She said nothing but wonderful things about it. It’s easy, it’s not much work, it’s relaxing, etc.
I eventually decided I’m burned out enough that something, anything different would be good, and went for it. I’m now officially doing both dev and security. The day I started, she announced that she was leaving the security team and wouldn’t join any other calls. Just flat-out left.
She trained me on doing a security review of this release, which basically amounted to a zoom call where I did all of the work and she directed me on what to do next, ignored everything I said, and treated me like an idiot. It’s apparently an easy release. The work itself? Not difficult, but it’s very involved, very time consuming, and requires a lot of paper trail — copying the same crap to three different places, tagging lots of people, copying their responses and pasting them elsewhere, filing tickets, linking tickets, copying info back and forth to slack, signing off on things, tagging tickets in a specific way, writing up security notes in a very specific format etc. etc. etc. It’s apparently usually very hectic with lots of last-minute changes, devs who simply ignore security requests, etc.
I asked her at the end for a quick writeup because I’m not going to remember everything and we didn’t cover everything that might happen.
Her response: Just remember what you did here, and do it again!
I asked again for her to write up some notes. She said “I would recommend.. you watch the new release’s channel starting Thursday, and then review what we did here, and just do all that again. Oh, and if you have any questions, talk to <security boss> so you get in the habit of asking him instead of me. Okay, bye!”
Fucking what.
No handoff doc?
Not willing to answer questions after a day and a half of training?
A recap
• She was friendly.
• She pushed me towards security.
• She said the security role was easy and laid-back.
• I eventually accepted.
• She quit the same day.
• The “easy release” took a day and a half of work with her watching, and it has a two-day deadline.
• She treated (and still treats) me like a burden and ignores everything I said or asked.
• The work is anything but laid-back.
• She refuses to spend any extra time on this or write up any notes.
• She refuses to answer any further questions because (quote) “I should get in the habit of asking <security boss> instead of her”
So she smiled, lied, and stabbed me in the back. Now she’s treating me like an annoyance she just wants to go away.
I get that she’s burned out from this, but still, what a fucking bitch. I almost can’t believe she’s acting this way, but I’ve grown to expect it from everyone.
But hey, at least I’m doing something different now, which is what I wanted. The speed at which she showed her true colors, though, holy shit.
“I’m more of a personal motivator than anything,” she says, “and I’m first and foremost a supporter of women developers!” Exactly wrong, every single word of it.
God I hate people like this.18 -

I had a discussion with a coworker earlier.
I owed him for lunch the other day, and he suggested I pay him back either with cash (which I didn't have), Venmo, or just by him lunch the next time (which I ended up doing).
I asked about Venmo, and he said it was like paypal, but always free. that sounded a bit off -- because how are they in business if it's always free? -- so I looked it up, and paid special attention to their privacy policy.
The short of it: they make money by selling your information. That's worth far more than charging users a small fee when sending $5 every few weeks. Sort of what I expected when I heard "always free," but what surprised me is just how much they collect. (In retrospect, I really shouldn't have been surprised at all...)
Here's an incomplete list:
* full name, physical address, email, DoB, SSN (or other government IDs, depending on country)
* Complete contact list (phone numbers, names, photos)
* Browser/device fingerprint
* (optional) Your entire Facebook feed and history
* (optional) all of your Facebook friends' contact info
* Your Twitter feed
* Your FourSquare activity
(The above four ostensibly for "fraud prevention")
* GPS data
* Usage info about the actual service
* Other users' usage info (e.g. mentioning you)
* Financial info (the only thing not shared with third parties)
Like, scary?
And, of course, they share all of this with their parent company, PayPal. (The privacy policy does not specify what PayPal does with it, nor does it provide any links that might describe it, e.g. PayPal's "info-shared-by-third-parties" privacy policy)
So I won't be using Venmo. ever.
I mentioned all of this to my coworker, and he just doesn't understand. at all. He even asks "So what are they going do with that, send me ads? like they already do?"
I told him why I think it's scary. Everything from them freely selling all of your info, to someone being able to look through your entire online life's history, to being able to masquerade around as you, to even reproducing your voice (e.g. voice clips collected by google assistant), to grouping people by political affiliations.
He didn't have much to say about any of them, and actually thought the voice thing was really cool. (All I could think of was would happen if the "news" had that ability....) All of his other responses were "that doesn't bother me at all" and/or "using all of these services is so convenient."
but what really got me was his reaction to the last one.
I said, "If you're part of the NRA, for example, you'd be grouped with Republicans. If they sell all of this information, which they do, and they don't really care who buys it or what they do with it... someone could look through the data and very very easily target those political groups."
His response? "I don't have to worry about that. I'm a Democrat, and have always voted Democrat. I'll tell anyone that."
Like.
That's basically saying every non-democrat is someone you should be wary of and keep an eye on. That's saying Democrats are the norm and everyone else is deviant and/or wrong.
and I couldn't say anything after this because... no matter what I said, it would start a political conflict, and would likely end with me being fired (since the owner is also a democrat, and they're very buddy-buddy). "What if they target democrats?" -> "They already do!" or "What if democrats use it against others?" -> "They deserve it for being violent and racist, but we never would" (except, you know, that IRS/tea-party incident for example...)
But like, this is coming from someone who firmly believes conservatives are responsible for all of the violence and looting and rioting and mass shootings in the country. ... even when every single instance has been by committed by democrats. every. single. one.
Just...
jfl;askjfasflkj.
He doesn't understand the need for privacy, and his world view is just... he actually thinks everyone with different beliefs is wrong and dangerous.
I don't even know how to deal with people like this. and with how prevalent this mindset is... coupled with the aforementioned privacy concerns... it's honestly *terrifying.*65 -
Went to my first Hackathon this weekend.
There was 6 of us, 3 devs (including me) and 3 business guys for the presentation and info gathering
The 3 business guys wouldn't show us any of their work, but we're demanding to see all of ours.
Bothering us every 5 minutes to see 2her4 23 are and what's left
Then 1 of 3 business guys accused one of my devs of deleting half of their PowerPoint presentation. That turned out to be bullshit. Looked in the edit history and the business guy was the one who deleted them.
We brought it up to them all, and they got all defensive.
Then, before they revoked our access to the PowerPoint they removed us from the presentation entirely.
Their final presentation contained an app(APK only) we spent an all nighter on, and pictures of a few of the wireframes we did.
I immediately went to an event organizer, filled a complaint. Showed the wireframe project, the source code of the APK they used, and told her they just dropped us and stole our work. She went to them, they couldn't prove they did the work
They are now banned from future hackathons at this place.
I do not appreciate being fucked with, and more so don't like it when you try to fuck my friends. Honestly want to send an email to the business guys workplace and inform them their two top employees are thief's.
The positive thing I took from this is me and my dev team built a stronger relationship and found out we work amazing together.

--- URGENT: Major security flaw in Kubernetes: Update Kubernetes at all costs! ---
Detailed info: https://github.com/kubernetes/...
If you are running any unpatched versions of Kubernetes, you must update now. Anyone might be able to send commands directly to your backend through a forged network request, without even triggering a single line in the log, making their attack practically invisible!
If you are running a version of Kubernetes below 1.10... there is no help for you. Upgrade to a newer version, e.g. 1.12.3.

Long story short, I'm unofficially the hacker at our office... Story time!
So I was hired three months ago to work for my current company, and after the three weeks of training I got assigned a project with an architect (who only works on the project very occasionally). I was tasked with revamping and implementing new features for an existing API, some of the code dated back to 2013. (important, keep this in mind)
So at one point I was testing the existing endpoints, because part of the project was automating tests using postman, and I saw something sketchy. So very sketchy. The method I was looking at took a POJO as an argument, extracted the ID of the user from it, looked the user up, and then updated the info of the looked up user with the POJO. So I tried sending a JSON with the info of my user, but the ID of another user. And voila, I overwrote his data.
Once I reported this (which took a while to be taken seriously because I was so new) I found out that this might be useful for sysadmins to have, so it wasn't completely horrible. However, the endpoint required no Auth to use. An anonymous curl request could overwrite any users data.
As this mess unfolded and we notified the higher ups, another architect jumped in to fix the mess and we found that you could also fetch the data of any user by knowing his ID, and overwrite his credit/debit cards. And well, the ID of the users were alphanumerical strings, which I thought would make it harder to abuse, but then realized all the IDs were sequentially generated... Again, these endpoints required no authentication.
So anyways. Panic ensued, systems people at HQ had to work that weekend, two hot fixes had to be delivered, and now they think I'm a hacker... I did go on to discover some other vulnerabilities, but nothing major.
It still amsues me they think I'm a hacker 😂😂 when I know about as much about hacking as the next guy at the office, but anyways, makes for a good story and I laugh every time I hear them call me a hacker. The whole thing was pretty amusing, they supposedly have security audits and QA, but for five years, these massive security holes went undetected... And our client is a massive company in my country... So, let's hope no one found it before I did.6 -
Client: please be sure to let us know with enough notice if you plan on taking any time off so we can anticipate how to operate during your absence.
Me to client 4 months before vacation: "I’m going to be on vacation in July for such amount of time".
Client: OK thanks
Client 3 months before vacation: are you taking any time off this summer?
Me: yeah I’m taking such amount of time in July.
Client: Ok
Client 2 months before vacation: are you taking any time off this summer.
Me: yeah I’m taking such amount of time in July.
Client: Ok
Client a month before vacation: wait you’re taking time off this summer?
Me: yeah, in July.
Client: oh, we need to start figuring out how to manage your absence.
…client has enough time to figure things out.
——-
Client two weeks ago: we’re switching you to a another project where you’ll be replacing someone who’s leaving; and you’ll be developing alone. You’ll be working closely with our software architect. He’ll be the one who can answer all your questions.
Me totally lost on new project as it’s barely documented, sql tables are a mess with barely any relations between them and data structures are totally inconsistent. Supposed to be getting info from partner APIs but I can’t test them and don’t know exactly what data to expect. Only the software architect has the necessary knowledge.
Client a week ago: hey don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions. We can’t afford to fall behind from schedule.
Me: oh don’t worry, I’m already flooding your guy with questions.
Me last Monday to client: hey do you know what’s up with your architect? I’ve been waiting for him to answer some important questions and it’s going to be hard to move forward without him getting back to me.
Client: you’re telling us you’re not going to be able to move forward efficiently until our architect gets back from vacation in two weeks?
Me: wait, he’s on vacation?
(on the inside: when the fuck were you guys planning on telling me he would be gone???)4 -
A big FUCK YOU to chrome, and a big FUCK YOU to google in generally. First the hell that is code.org, then the chrome. I genuinely want to open a dictionary in google to see if the word "privacy" is in there. Sure, first it was tracking users with by making them agree to a long ass TOS no one wants to read except lawyers, then barely even giving any info and asking for consent with YOUR data, but this is too far. For all you that dont know, LanSchool is an application that allows teachers to see students screens, internet history and more. Its the reason kids can't play games in English class. But most importantly, its a chrome extension. We have to do assignments from home right? So when we logon to the school account from home, LANSCHOOL GETS DOWNLOADED ANYRACKS EVERYTHING I DO. It pains me how teachers can view so much information unfairly because of some unknowing students, my friends privacy was unfairly in the hands of google and the school system. Right when I found out about tit (~2 mins after i first logged on) i made an Ubuntu VM just for goddamn google docs. Back to my friend, he went on some websites not to be considered appropriate, and got in huge trouble. He was completely unaware of the fact that they could see his screen, and I resent google for allowing a third party to manipulate my PERSONAL COMPUTER without my consent. Die google, you ruined android, which had so much potential, and now the web and virtual privacy. You should be <strike>ashamed</strike> dead, and I hope in the future you realize that one day people will have common sense.26

Update - The 'devRant trans-oceanic 21st century message in a bottle' community project is progressing nicely.
There is terrific research being done by the team in a slack channel. It is a great fun learning experience.
We have taken the 2000 year old message in a bottle concept and are breaking new ground leveraging very cool technology. We are still in phase 1 but at a high level devRant's much coveted stress ball will cross the Atlantic Ocean in a bottle type encasing.
We will use satellite tracking and gps to track devie throughout the journey. We will use Arduino or a similar microprocessor. We may use sensors and gyros to monitor the surrounding environment for temperature and depth.
We are also studying ocean currents, shipping lanes, weather data and bottle materials to make the journey as smooth as possible.
This is an official devRant sponsored project. We encourage you and any dev friends to join the conversation. Below is a link to the original rant which has the Slack channel info.
The sun never sets on devRant and we love intriguing projects!

Hello again, everyone. I've been busy with all the paperwork at my ship (will make a post about it later) but for now, I'll bore you with another story (not navy one, fortunately) to justify my slacking off.
And this story... is the story on how I got into ITSec. And it is pretty damn embarrassing. It all began when I was 16. I was hooked on battleknight.gameforge.com, a browser game. My father had just had ADSL installed at our home, and the new opportunities before me were endless. Well...
After I've had my fill with the porn torrents and them opportunities dwindled to just a few dozens, I began searching for free games, and I stumbled on that game. I played a lot, but as a free-to-play game, it was also pay-to-win. I didn't have a credit card, so I paid for a few gems with SMS messages. Fast forward a couple of years, I got into the Naval Academy. A guy came in to advertise something (I think it was an encyclopaedia or something - yes, wikipedia wasn't a thing back then) and to pay for it, we could apply for a credit card. So I applied. And I resisted the temptation for a year.
Note: prepaid wasn't that known where I live, so using credit cards was the only way for online transactions.
So I made 1 transaction. Just one. After a couple of months my monthly report from the bank came, showing a 2.5$ (I think) transaction on Paypal. I paid no mind, thinking that it was some hidden fee. Oh boy, I shit you not, I was THAT much of an idiot. Six months later, BOOM!
600$ transaction to ebay via paypal. You can imagine all those nice things that came to my mind. In any case, the bank accepted my protest that I filed at their central offices and cancelled the transaction. I promptly cancelled my card, destroyed it right there for good measure, and got to thinking... what the fuck just happened?
As many people here, I am afflicted with a deadly virus, called curiosity. I started researching the matter, trying to figure out how. And, because I didn't like black boxes and "it is just like it is" explanations, I tumbled down the rabbit hole of ITSec. I soon found out that, not only it was possible, but also it was sometimes EXTREMELY easy to steal credit card info. There are sites, to this very day, that store user info (along with credit cards info) IN FUCKING CLEARTEXT. Sometimes your personal, financial and even medical info are just an SQLi away.
So, I got very disillusioned on many things. But I never regretted it. It may cause me to age prematurely and will kill me of stroke or heart attack one day, but as I still tumble down the ITSec rabbit hole, I can say with confidence that
I REGRET NOTHING
Plus, my 600$ were returned, so look on the bright side :)1 -
Client sends me support email concerning the CMS.
There's not enough details to go on, esp. browser info, so I ask her to fill out a support ticket.
She does, but doesn't enter any browser info, AND mistypes her email address so I have to correct it to reply to the right email.
I send her to whatbrowseramiusing.co and ask her to send the info to our support email address.
She emails support directly with these words: "I am using Google bowser".
I reply: click "Send to my designer" on whatbrowseramiusing.co and I give her exact steps to fill out the three form fields
She replies: "There is no 'Send to my designer', I only get the option to buy the domain."
I'm like "Whut?!" Did you mistype the URL? Why don't you click the link in the email? (Paraphrase)
This time I get an official email from whatbrowseramiusing.co, telling me that the client is using Safari 5.0.5. Which is five years old.
At that point I replied and said we really can't support this older browser, and included a link to the Firefox download page.7 -
Let me explain a tiny corner of some awful code I read earlier today, in layman’s terms.
It’s a method to see if the user is in a secure session — not to set up the session, just to see if it exists. The method ends with a question mark, so it’s basically a question. It should look up the info (without changing anything) and should always give a clear yes/no answer. Makes sense, right?
Let’s say the question is “am I in school right now?”
The code… well.
If there isn’t a student, the answer it gives is null, not yes or no. Null is a fancy word for no, pretty much, so that’s kinda fine, but it really should be a simple no.
It then checks to see if the school is open today. If it is open, it then checks to see if I made my lunch, if I took my backpack, and if I rode the bus — and makes these things happen if they didn’t. Forgot my backpack? Just ask “am I in school today?” And poof! There’s my backpack! … but only if the school is open.
It then, finally, checks to see if I’m actually in the school, and gives that answer.
It could just see if I’m in the school — I mean, I could be in school without a backpack, or walked there on the weekend, right? Ha! You and your silly logic have no place here.
So, by asking if the user is in a secure session, we change the answer: they weren’t before, but the act of asking makes it so. This isn’t profound or anything: I don’t work with Schrödinger. My coworkers are just idiots.
And no, the rest of the code isn’t any better…5 -
The gym I go to has an app for user's to scan a QR code when they arrive and it has multiple HUGE issues.
This app shows the credit card info used for the direct debit without anything being redacted.
When the gym is signing up someone they give them a password so they can login, not too bad except the password is always the person's first name with the first letter capitalised.
This gets worse when you figure out that their is no way to change the password given to you AT ALL.
And just to top it all off, when you click the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen, the app just sends you an email with your password (your first name) in plain text.
The app also doesn't log you out or notify you if your login is used on a different device.
So I have tested this with 2 of my friends that go to the same gym and, with only knowing their email and first name (which I could have gotten from their email if I didn't know them), I can get into their app and see their credit card info without them being any the wiser.9 -
Boss: Client wants those stockphotos for the frontpage.
Me: ok. Please license them and let me know. I will upload them to the page.
Boss: How does that work then?
Me: you have to buy the five credit package. Here is the link...
Boss: (no response)
...few days later...
Boss: please remember to upload those images...
Me: well ok. Did you buy them?
Boss: isn't that your thing?
Me: I don't understand. You had all the info. You new where to buy them. You knew what images to buy since the client sent the preview versions. What do you need? ...and why didn't you tell me that you were waiting for my input? I was the last one to reply to this conversation.
Boss: i don't want to buy the wrong images.
Me: just buy the ones the client chose.
Boss: I don't want to look up the email he sent them in.
Me: I don't understand. I directly replied to that mail. It is in the same conversation.
Boss: ok.
...day later...
Boss sends me mail with images attached.
Boss: are those the right images?
Me: well yes. Those are the ones the client sent. I don't have more information than you.
(Me looking at the attachments and finding them in the smallest resolution available.)
Me: why did you download the images in the smallest resolution? It does not make any difference in price.
Boss: well I thought they were not needed in a bigger size.
Me: why do you make my options intentionally smaller? I am the guy doing frontend.
..please give me the login info for the stock account so I can download the images in a better resolution.8 -
I have to rant a bit about the toxic reactions to a constructive Q&A website.
People keep complaining that they get downvotes and corrections, or stuff like that.
Are you fucking kidding me?
So you expect people to spend their own time for absolutely free, to help you, while you don't even want to invest in describing the issue you're having properly? And then complain that people are having issues in understanding your questions?
Let's look at this scientifically. Let's gather up some questions that have been received badly on SO in the last few hours. From the top (simply put https://stackoverflow.com/questions... in front of the id):
47619033 - person wants a discussion about an algorithm while not providing any information about what worked and what failed. "Please write a program for me". Breaking at least 2 rules.
47619027 - "check out my videos" spam
47619030 - "Here's the manual that has my answer but I can't find my answer in it".
47619004 - "how do I keep variables in memory"
47618997 - debug this exception, I'll give you no info on what I tried and failed. Screw this, you guys figure this out, I'm going out for beer.
47618993 - expects everyone to guess what the input is, what the expected output is, and whether he has read what HashMap is in the manual. But sure, this question is so far the best out of all the bad ones.
47618985 - please write code according to my specifications
Should I go on? There wasn't a single clear question about problems in code in this entire small set. Be free to continue searching, let me know if you find something that:
1. You understand what's being asked
2. Answer is clear and non-ambiguous (ex. NOT "which language is the coolest?")
3. Not asking someone to write a program for them.
4. Answer is not found in the most basic form of manuals (ex. php.net)
5. Is about programming.
The point is:
If you get downvoted on Stackoverflow - then you wrote a shitty question. Instead of coming over here and venting uselessly, simply address the concerns and at least TRY to write a clear question if you expect any answers.5 -
Back in my sysadmin days we had an IT zoo to look after. And I mean it... Linux side was allright, but unix.... Most unices were no longer supported. Some of their vendors' companies were already long gone.
There was a distant corner in our estate known to like 2 people only, both have left the company long ago. And one server in that corner went down. It took 2 days to find any info about the device. And connecting to it looked like:
1 ssh to a jumpbox #1
2 ssh to a jumpbox #2
3 ssh to a dmz jumpbox
4 ssh to an aix workload
5 fire up a vnc server
6 open up a vnc client on my workstation, connect to than vnc server [forgot to mention, all ssh connections had to forward a vnc port to my pc]
7 in vnc viewer, open up a terminal
8 ssh to hp-uxes' jumpbox
9 ssh to the problematic hp-ux

I'm curious to know how popular DevRant actually is, like how many total users there are, how many rants there are in total, how many users visit the app/site on a daily basis, any chance on this info dfox?12
-
If you're a client and abuse the info given to you by any of the platforms to come visit me, I won't hestitate to call the police again, you fucking lunatic.
In what fucking mind does that even make sense, so damn lucky I wasn't actually here and just saw it on the CCTV, fucking trespassing piece of shit.
Waiting for the police to report back, so I can use any possible opportunity to reflect it in his public record, fucking cunt. -
Hey fam, first post in devrant!
Possible client comes up to me and asks me what my mockup for his app looks like. I show it to him on running on my Android device.
Him: where are all the images and descriptions/info?
Me: you didn't give me any. I just made what it could look like if we had images and descriptions.
Him: well talk to some people in the departments and put it in.
Me: but that's not my job. You wanted me to make what it could look like if we actually went through with this project.
Him: okay. How hard would it be to make it for Apple?
Noooooooooo... I'm out.8 -
Worst one I’ve seen so far is when I was working for my previous community another developer joined to help me, without the permission of me or the other lead developer he pushed a client-side update. We didn’t think it was a big deal, but once we began reviewing the code it became a big deal... he had placed our SQL credentials into that file that every client downloads. All the person had to do was open the file and could connect to our SQL which contained 50k+ players info, primarily all in-game stuff except IPs which we want to protect at all costs.
Issue becomes, what he was trying to do required the games local database on the client-side, but instead he tried connecting to it as an external database so he decided to copy server-side code and used on the client.
Anyways, the database had a firewall that blocked all connections except the server and the other lead dev and myself. We managed to change the credentials and pull the file away before any harm was done to it, about 300 people had downloaded the file within an hours period, but nothing happened luckily. IP to the DB, username, password, etc, were all changed just to keep it protected.
So far this is the worst, hopefully it doesn’t get worse than this :/1 -
Today I am going to rant about this guy who I am working with in a group for creating a mobile application as a project for a course.
So let me give you some background info about this guy. He has 5 years of experience as data analyst from some company in India. Now he is here in Canada for his masters. I took him in the group thinking given his experience, he can be an asset. However, as I started talking to him it became clear that he has no experience with programming or software development. I am ok with that as everyone is new to something. However, he started intrupting and started giving negative feedback about each and every thing we discussed regarding the project. Don't get me wrong, I am all about getting feesback. But if someone who is just sitting there and just searching stuff on google just to bull shit with people to show that he knows stuff is irritating. He always provide useless feedback and solutions to any problems.
I was talking to him about his past working experience and his future plans after graduating. He literally said, "I want to learn just enough to fake in front of employer during interview. I was doing the same thing in my previous job." I was legit shocked at this moment.
Now I have to tolerate this for another 3 months. I am just worried about the project.7 -
Had nothing to do today, so I thought I´ll test the migration of SVN to Git in Gitlab.
Boss sent me a mail today, that when I migrate we need to preserve the history, so I actually have to put some effort in it. *sigh*
Shout-out to the Gitlab documentation at this point.
That´s probably the best doc I´v ever read...
Well so I tried to use svn2git. And well...
Who the fuck thought that this piece of shit software is in any way usable?
Holy crap!
If it fails, it just does so without any info why. Even in verbose mode.
And the RAM usage? What the actual fuck?
This whole thing is a complete memory leak!
32Gigs of RAM full in Minutes and the whole system starts to stall!
And then when I thought it finally runs through.
Bam another git checkout error...
Googling for that error then I found something. A version of svn2git made in .Net Core.
Didn´t expect much but I tried it anyways.
And would you look at that!
It ran so smooth and didn´t need that much RAM , I had some doubt it did work correctly.
But it did!
I think I´m gonna pay a coffee or two to some guy over in China now!6 -
Security rant ahead, you have been warned!
As part of a scholarship application, our government requires a scan/copy of the applicant's credit card. Since the IBAN is now on the back, you have to send both sides.
The back is also where the CVC (security code) is. Any bank will strictly tell you NOT TO EVER SHARE IT - not even with them!
To make things even more fun, you now have the option to send this over email which is, of course, NOT ENCRYPTED!!!!!
I'm basically sending all the info needed to steal all my money over an unencrypted connection to an underpaid secretary, who will print it out and leave it on their desk for anyone with decent binoculars to see.
These people are fucking insane!!!!9 -
So, monday I posted a rant saying that monday was a terrible day and that I was probably going to be fired/quitting soon.
Wednesday, I'm told that the project I had been working on for about a week was changed 2 days ago and to stop working on it.
Yesterday, I signed in and asked if there was any work for me (I work remotely) and nobody really responded so I just found something to work on. (This whole time, I'm thinking oh fuck, about to get fired) Then, about an hour before I was to sign out, I get a message saying that I'll be working on a new project starting today.
this morning, I signed in and had a meeting to get info on my new project. After the meeting, I check my bank account to see if I had enough money to order something and notice I had a bonus from the company. MFW.. So I asked one of my managers if there was a mistake and if it was supposed to go to someone else, and they said no. Of course, I said thank you and left it, but I STILL have no idea what it was for. https://youtube.com/watch/...2 -
This is fucking bad. I just stumbled across a database online, unencrypted plain text containing ALL details of thousands of students at my university. Full names, ID number (SSN), student numbers, address, family info, medical aid info, physical fitness reports
What do I do? I was not on any VPN or proxy when I accessed it19 -
An actual anonymous web browser that doesn't collect location info, search history, etc. It also blocks any website you use from collecting data on you.6
-
I swear upon the gods of the internet! Any time I am trying to read an article/blog post/anything and the site puts a god damn pop-up form asking me to sign up for something, I leave the site. ESPECIALLY ON MOBILE WHEN YOU CANT CLOSE THE DAMN WINDOW WITHOUT GIVING UP YOUR INFO.
And every time a client asks me to do this I nicely explain how much people hate pop-ups, 99% of the time I've closed the window or tab before I even read what the box is asking for, I don't care.
If the user is trying to read something, then they are trying to read something, and they don't want to be bothered with your ridiculous attempts for information gathering so you can spam them later.10 -
Fuck this
I get to work with API where you CAN authenticate with username/password and get a token
But you CAN'T get user info from token (auth response contains ONLY token)
So what I have to do:
1. Get token
2. Request ALL FUCKING USERS and load them into my DB
3. Search through local DB by username and, yeah, here I go
Now I need to have a cron job to update user DB 1/2 times per day
I can't think of ANY reason not to allow this8 -
A project I'm working on uses Elastic for internal monitoring and logs. The customer asked to access those logs - not something we'd normally do, but it's isolated from other things we use and there's no critical data there, so what the heck, let them have it.
Ever since, we're getting tons of questions like "There are tons of [insert random info message] all the time, do you have any plans to resolve them?" and it gets to the point where I'm just about ready to scream back "NO, SUZAN, BOOKING NOT COMPLETED MANS THE USER F###ING CANCELLED IT, IT'S NOT SOMETHING I CAN FIX IN THE CODE"
Edit: the customer's name isn't actually Suzan4 -
A few years ago I was in high school and used to have a small reputation of hacking things. I could hack, just would never hack any school networks or systems (reputation + notice that there was a breach is a bad combo since everyone would immediately suspect you).
Anyways one day the networks internet connection went down in the school district and I was the only one who used a laptop to take notes. So I quickly opened the terminal and ran Wireshark and said to the person to my right "see that button there? yeah I programmed this last night. anytime I press it I can shut down the network so the teacher can't reach her files (she famously only saved them online). *Long dramatic press* Wireshark started scanning the network so all the numbers and lines were going crazy as it viewed the packet info "Now just wait", soon the whole class knew what I had done through whispers and lo and behold a few minutes later and the teacher couldn't reach her files.
Everyone loved me for the rest of the year for saving them from the homework for the week the wifi network was out since it also ended up having to cancel two tests in the class, and a lot more homework and tests in all their other classes. Solidified my reputation and no one fucked with me from that day on. -
Hey guys.
Sorry for the absence.
So... Lately I've been working in shifts, doing extra hours and stuff... And today, Saturday I went to work for nothing... My boss fucked me just to make me go to work, when there isn't much work to be done...
Btw, I have a burn out for more than two years because I had to work and study and sleep for 4 hours a night, for months.... (check my profile for more info).
Today I had enough
Almost got killed while driving... felt asleep.
I'm saturated.
Monday I'll talk to the owner of the company
and If I don't like what I ear I'm making several complaints:
- One for the organization that protects workers
- One for the work court (we have that In Portugal)
- And one criminal complaint... After all they fucked my health, my life and are putting my life in danger just because...
Lets see how it goes...
Better part... If I make any of the complaints above they can't fire me, make me work overtime or in unpaid shifts...
Oh, and someone else also made a complaint recently... Governement oficials spent two days this week checking the company accounts and calling workers for confidencial intervews...
So, I guess It's the perfect time to drop the bomb on them.10 -
I recently built a staff portal. Sometimes when people ask what I did this summer I just say "I built a portal" without any additional info just to let them think I'm Doc Brown crazy.
-
Fuck GoDaddy man... Paid extra for the privacy feature thinking I wouldn't get harassed by phone. Think again! Got tons of calls from India in two days. What a rip off...
I guess they're selling our info or something...
What service do you guys use? I want to move my domains, any recommendation?19 -
That moment you've been dreading for a week, when you've exhausted every single resource you can in finding a solution and you've put it off way longer than you ever should have.
When you might have to ask on ...StackOverflow...
So you spend an hour agonizing over your post. You double check your google searches in case there is some info out there that you may have missed. You include code samples. You check your spelling and grammar and you any 'fluff' from your post.
Finally you hit submit and watch as nobody responds, but the downvotes just keep piling up... and damnit you have no idea why.5 -
I’m developing a fairly sophisticated desktop app in Python with PyQt5 as the widget set. Because my partner insists that all the kids these days love Python.
Piss on Python. And that goes double for PyQt5.
I’m on the absolute hardest section of the app. It’s a fairly complex import of data from PDF reports. There are so many different parts that I decided to go with a wizard.
So, I built a QWizard in Qt Designer. It generates a C++ .ui file, but you just truck it over to the command line and run this pyuic5 command, and it converts to a handy dandy Python class. Woo. You can subclass it and consume it from your Python script.
Sounded SO MUCH EASIER than writing the wizard from scratch. But OH NO. I need to do custom validation on my custom text control at every stage to control when the Next and Finish buttons are enabled, which means I gotta overwrite some damn event.
But I can’t. Because I can’t subclass the individual pages. Because they’re part of the same damn file and the wizard offers no access to them.
I’m almost certain that I’m going to have to completely redesign the wizard so that it’s pages are in separate files, which means I have to recode the bitch as well.
The cherry on top is that there’s zero documentation for this specific thing. None. No QWizard documentation exists for PyQt5 (if there is, they’re doing a damn good job of hiding it), so I have to read the documentation for PyQt4. Not the same animal. Close, but different. Even with the differences aside, this documentation is minimal and useless. “We’re going to tell you in very general terms what you should do, but we’ll give you zero idea how to do it. And we know the very common code method you’ll want to try first won’t work.”
And getting at this stuff when you do it in Qt Designer is WAY different. And all that documentation is in C++. Because apparently you HAVE to speak C++ if you want any real info about PyQt. Because that’s perfectly reasonable, right?
So, now I’ve lowered myself and posted a question on Stack. Because, hey, once you get past the power-tripping, mouth-breathing, basement-dwelling, neck-bearded high school punching bags picking apart your question rather than, I dunno..., BEING HELPFUL, sometimes you can get good info there. Sometimes. They seriously saved my ass at least one time.
But yeah. Fuck Python. Fuck everything Qt.17 -
So the other day I randomly checked out a few job postings on some recruiting agency’s website. Didn’t even sign up or anything.
The very next day I get a call from them. The person on the phone tells me they noticed I had visited their website and was wondering if I was interested in applying to any of the offers. Even as a developer I was totally taken aback as to how they managed to track me down based on a single visit.
I believe I ended up on their website by clicking on a link on LinkedIn. I’m assuming it’s via LinkedIn that the managed to get my info (phone etc.). All in all I’m not extremely surprised. But to me it’s downright creepy and it makes me feel like I’m being stalked. Also it makes recruiters look totally desperate and I’m not sure I would want to entrust them with the responsibility of handling my career4 -
I’ve had enough of shitty ISPs. Time to shame them 😈
Here in the UK, we have a company called TalkTalk who treat their customers as whores by not giving a shit and taking all their money.
I have had an ongoing issue for about 9 months now where our internet is more unstable, but also slower. We pay for 72Mbps at which we used to get, but now our internet tops out at 30Mbps if we are lucky. It can be 20Mbps one minute and 7Mbps the next, and I’ve had it drop below 1Mbps for no goddam reason.
I’ve spoken (well, argued) argued to their so called customer service department over phone and live chat explaining the situation and all they’ve done is said “restart your router”, or “we’ll send out a new router, it’s probably a WiFi issue”, or some bullshit like “I’ve ‘changed’ something on my end”. On one conversation with a so called technician, I had to explain how networking actually worded, and and even called a 7Mbps acceptable when we were paying for 10x that!!!!!
The thing that makes it worse is they actually have systems that detect any issues with customers internet lines, but they only alert the customer to the issue through an online portal, telling the customer to call up and get it dealt with rather than passing the info to a tech department and having issues fixed without the customer knowing unless it’s absolutely necessary.
So 9 months in and I still have a fluctuating, unstable internet connection which is slow and overpriced with no tunnel in sight. GIVE ME BACK MY GODDAMN MONEY YOU FUCKING THIEVING BASTARDS.3 -
My new favourite commit message:
"All changes as of 18th Sept"
How tremendously useful? There I was looking to know what changes were made to enable a feature / service, thought I could look for that in the commit message, but no you've given me a much more efficient way of finding out.
I simply need to download the contents of your memory, find out what date you made a change, and then dig through the massive commit to find the piece of info I need.
Forget experience using Git features, managing merges, following Git flow, or even any other SCM ... how can people be so tick when it comes to recording what they've done.
Heres a little cheat sheet for those struggling:
- Commit message
Describe what you actually ****ing did. Don't tell me the date or the time, thankfully Git records those. Don't tell me the day of the week, if I need to know I can figure that out, just tell me what ... you ... did.
- Feature branch names
Now this is a tricky one. You might be surprised to know that this isn't in fact suppose to be whatever random adjective or noun popped into your head ... I know, I too was shocked. The purpose of this is to let other people know what new feature is being worked on in this branch.
- Reusing feature branches
Now I know you started it to add some unit tests, and naming it "testing" is sort of ok. But its actually not ok to name it testing when you add 3 unit tests ... then rip out and replace 60% of the business logic. Perhaps it would have been wiser to create a new feature branch, given you are now working on a new feature.2 -
For fuck sake!
Fuck locatefamily.com, just searched out on google my name and surname, both foreign and hard to even spell out for many, and it's the first time that I saw my data(where did I live, my current work phone number, name and surname) open wide as the second link of my search, fuck!
But there's a clue, at that address I lived for a not so long period, so I did search my emails in that period and other than my employers and government emails(in which I don't trust either), here's a list of companies that had my info(partial or full):
Only address(with name and surname):
Amazon.it with 14 other companies(for shipping)
eBay with 4 other companies(for shipping)
voxelfarm.com
trenord.it
DUMA (LIGHT) di Adel
decathlon.com
gruppoargenta.it
paypal.it
All info:
gearbest.com
glistockisti.com
oculus.com
Banggood.com
Overall there are 33(including government, employers and national main mail service) potential leaks of that data, with 7 in full exposure.
After this, I'm thinking how it's even avoidable to not leak personal data, because from any of those businesses I got goods or services that otherwise I couldn't without exposing such informations... fuck.6 -
I'm a sick to fucking death of reading 'documentation' by developers who assume you know everything they did at the time of writing and so leave out 90% of the context that would make the documentation make any sense.
Listen to me. If you are writing instructions on how to do something you have 2 options.
1. Write steps that are so detailed a person who has never touched the system could do them
2. Give enough information for a person who has never touched the system to work it out for themselves.
NOT. LET ME REPEAT MYSELF. NOT: 3. Give some half assed info that assumes you had already been working on the system and practically knew everything anyway.
If I had already been working in this area I WOULDNT NEED THE FUCKING DOCUMENTATION TO BEGIN WITH.6 -
You know, I really like my Redmi 4x. It's a nice and inexpensive phone and perfect for me. Now I wanted to get the most out of my phone by rooting it, which was going to be easy.
I thought. And lord almighty was I wrong.
First of all, to even get to root it you have to unlock the bootloader. To do that you have to use a tool that they've made. Good! An official way to do so would surely be good, I thought. But to actually use the tool you have to be logged in to their service on both the tool and your phone. Then, and get this, you have to submit a written application as to why you would want to unluck the bootloader.
Ohh but it didn't stop there. I did so and months passed without me getting any info from them what so ever. When trying the tool it would just tell me that they hadn't reviewed my application.
Today I tried again, and something new happened. It told me that I hadn't synced my accounts. Which I promptly did because it's progress.
I tried for what should be the final time, aaaand I get this. This according to the forums means I have to wait 72 hours to be able to do it.
But it's progress, right?
Uuugggghhhh

The Turbografx 16 (or Turbografx PC-Engine in Japan) has the most amazing fucking expansion port I've ever seen. Every bus is exposed, plus sound out and IN (unused by anything ever made for the thing), composite out (not included on the console itself, but 3rd-party addons allowed it), VGA out (!!!) and CPU HALTING/CLOCK CONTROL were included over this fucking thing.
You can even power the system with 5v in through the expansion port and bypass the power switch with it.
Info and diagram:
https://gamesx.com/misctech/...
Example:
To get composite out, send pin A22 out and ground the ground wire of the composite to any ground.
For VGA, it's a little more complex:
VGA1 to TG-A23, VGA2 to TG-B23, VGA3 to TG-C23, VGA9 to TG-A2, VGA13 (and VGA10 if you want compatibility with older displays) to TG-B11, VGA14 to TG-A10, VGA5-8 (and 10 if not hooked to TG-B11) to TG-C2
(VGA numbering from Wikipedia diagram)
this thing's fucking coolrant holy fuck this is cool turbografx 16 expansion port heaven expansion port console mod turbografx pc-engine1 -
Dear client,
If you provide me a PDF file that you name a design, and don’t provide any info I can’t do much with it.
So I got a PDF design for the program I was building. I tried to rebuild the elements and copy your photos. As you said this was the only file the designer had. But don’t expect me to look for your fonts, sizes etc. And then complain that I need to be more specific in the design... and sending me by once do I need to ask her something?
Just f*** off -

I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS !!!
After seeing bunch of posts about Enki, decided to give it a try,
enters my info on the sign up page
*email address is already taken* : WHAT !!
changes email address
*your username is already taken* : WHAT !!
goes back and search if there's any mails from Enki
*no results found* : Dafuq !!
Requests password reset
*Receives first mail from enki ever, with a reset link*
Did they change their name from something else to Enki or they have bunch of emails in their database to showoff user base ?
Can anyone shed some light on this, cause I'm 100% sure i didn't sign up for this before.
after resetting the password I'm able to login, but in the Notification section it says
*your email is not confirmed*
well i would confirm it, WHEN I GET IT !!9 -
PO1: Hey, PO2 just told me that he experiences a lot of crashes in our iOS app!
Me: Whoa! The app hasn’t had any crashes since ages. The testers haven’t reported crashes either. (Me in panic mode). I will ask PO2 about some details about the crashes.
Me to PO2: So, can you please describe me when the crash happens?
PO2: (long story about error messages and UI quirks and how he force quits the app to make them disappear)
Me: OK thanks for that info. Those are definitely valid problems that we have not encountered yet. But none of them are crashes. So are there any other problems that cause crashes?
PO2: Yes and no. (Long story and more problems)
Me: ok we need to investigate that. But are there crashes?
PO2: (Something that doesn’t answer the question)
Me: I need to ask explicitly again: Are there actual crashes where the app closes itself automatically?
PO2: No, that has never happened.6 -
I made a bit of a tradition of building a list of hardware that's superior to whatever Crapple is releasing whenever Crapple releases something - and for the first time, I decided to make it public instead of just sharing it with some coworkers.
Making it public however took some time (luckily, yesterday was a holiday here, so I got it done now) - at least, making it looking "not like shit" took some time.
So enjoy my (very basic) bootstrap templated, yet possibly useful list of builds superior to the Crapple Rag Mini (which is a completely fictional entity not resembling any existing company in the world. Promise. Totally. Penguin's swear.)
The list can be found here - expect to see an update anytime Crapple pushes new shit to the market:
http://il-pinguino.com/superiortocr...
(possibly not safe for work, children, catholics and SJWs). Yeah, no SSL cert, currently. Hell, it's a private server, it doesn't process any of your info and it doesn't offer downloads... I might add one in the future.
I hope you can forgive my shameless self-promotion, it's not a commercial site, there are no ads/shitcoin miners on it and i don't get a share/cut/whatever - just a small humorous joke project. For now.
BTW: I didn't attempt to build any of those. It should work, but please don't sue me if it doesn't.5 -
Why do people who cannot write specs still write specs? There are guys who just cannot produce anything human readable.
- Don't list 50 things in the same sentence separated with semicolon. Don't you have list bullets in your Word?? Or table, anyone??
- Now that you managed to add a table, don't write a novel into the cells. Especially now that you have decided to use 30pt font size and 3cm wide columns.
- If it's not an equation, don't use parenthesis. Why? Since they (and this is just my opinion (someone else might think otherwise)) are a little bit (or a lot, depending on the reader(s)) annoying (or otherwise irritating) since they (the parenthesis) tend to make the text (of any kind) very difficult (hard) to read especially (there can be other reasons) when you (or someone else in the company) have decided to write reaaaally long and complex sentences which add no information but make the reader go back and forth of the text trying (and sometimes not succeeding) to make any sense out of it.
- Always remember to use cross-reference number like [1] but don't tell what it is referring to. Special bonus will be awarded, if the link is broken!
- Save space and time by not explaining things that you can just refer to. Just add vague "read from [1], [2] and [3] for info about this." And then expect the reader to go through thousands of pages of boring jargon.
And oh yeah, please ask comments in the review session and then ignore all of them, since "well technically all the information was in the spec". You just need to be Sherloc Holmes to connect the dots.2 -
Bittrex is "amazing"...
I had lost my 2FA a long time ago (as my phone fried) and missed the account ferification deadline which caused my account to get disabled. Off we go to support!
0. Nothing to rant about at this point. I just created an account in their zendesk, logged in and logged a ticket to reset my 2FA and reactivate my account. They asked me for info, I provided it to them and got my 2FA disabled. Hooray!
1. I then asked to reenable my account. They sent me a link to restart the verification process. I open up that link and log in. I'm asked to upload some photos. I select requested photos from my galery and hit [UPLOAD]. An error pops up saying that smth wrong happened and I need to reload that site and reupload my photos. After page refresh they are telling me they are validating my uploaded info (w/o any way to resubmit my info, which, according to the error seen below, was not successfully submitted in the first place)...
2. So I reach out to the support guy again. Guess what he replies! He says he's sorry but he cannot help me any more and I need to create a NEW ACCOUNT in their support site with the same email <???!!!???>
3. I try to log in to the support portal and my access no longer works. MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DELETED! WTF!!!
4. I do as I'm told and create a new acc with the same email. Now I can log back in. So I'm raising a new ticket saying I still cannot finish my verification process due to the same error. It looks like it's going to be a fun ride with them so I can't wait to see what they'll reply.2 -
Working on an Android app for a client who has a dev team that is developing a web app in with ember js / rails. These folks are "in charge" of the endpoints our app needs to function. Now as a native developer, I'm not a hater of a web apps way of doing things but with this particular app their dev teams seems to think that all programming languages can parse json as dynamically as javascript...
Exhibit A:
- Sample Endpoint Documentation
* GetImportantInfo
* Params: $id // id of info to get details of
* Endpoint: get-info/$id
* Method: GET
* Entity Return {SampleInfoModel}
- Example API calls in desktop REST client
* get-info/1
- response
{
"a" : 0,
"b" : false,
"c" : null
}
* get-info/2
- response
{
"a" : [null, "random date stamp"],
"b" : 3.14,
"c" : {
"z" : false,
"y" : 0.5
}
}
* get-info/3
- response
{
"a" : "false" // yes as a string
"b" : "yellow"
"c" : 1.75
}
Look, I get that js and ruby have dynamic types and a string can become a float can become a Boolean can become a cat can become an anvil. But that mess is very difficult to parse and make sense of in a stack that relies on static types.
After writing a million switch statements with cases like "is Float" or "is String" from kotlin's Any type // alias for java.Object, I throw my hands in the air and tell my boss we need to get on the phone with these folks. He agrees and we schedules a day that their main developer can come to our shop to "show us the ropes".
So the day comes and this guy shows up with his mac book pro and skinny jeans. We begin showing him the different data types coming back and explain how its bad for performance and can lead to bugs in the future if the model structure changes between different call params. He matter of factually has an epiphany and exclaims "OHHHHHH! I got you covered dawg!" and begins click clacking on his laptop to make sense of it all. We decide not to disturb him any more so he can keep working.
3 hours goes by...
He burst out of our conference room shouting "I am the greatest coder in the world! There's no problem I can't solve! Test it now!"
Weary, we begin testing the endpoints in our REST clients....
His magic fix, every single response is a quoted string of json:
example:
- old response
{
"foo" : "bar"
}
- new "improved" response
"{ \"foo\" : \"bar\" }"
smh....8 -
I was nearly about to punch someone today.
So, this guy is taking issues with my 3D model, yeah? But it's not the model he has issues with, it's that "why doesn't this include the stuff """I""" need?". Well, you giant man-baby could have actually visited the model like two months ago when I made it, but noooooooo let's leave it until a few days before his massive demonstration is due. Plus, the pieces I received from someone else also didn't have this info, so, like, where do you want me to get them from? Oh, from the "other" model that was literally delivered by a third party like two weeks ago? Nice. Hold onto your breath while I go rip that model apart piece by piece and put the info you need, in the format you need, in this model. 😒
... Jeeeeeez. And my computer broke down two days ago. 🤦
Could this get any worse? It could, but didn't. Luckily, someone else gave me a hand, so now I just need to go to work on a weekend just to install unreal engine again just so I can rip the second model apart for this one piece that he "really needs".
The worst part? I'm sure all of this tantrum is actually so he can justify why his work is ... well... "not working".
Let the finger pointing games begin!
(Actually not afraid of that at all. My boss knows better so yolo)
Idk, my brain is eeeeeeeeeek.1 -
Boss: so we've got to call an app to verify data in this project. But I've got no more info and I'm on holiday next week. Please contact GuyA next week.
Me: ok I guess?
*writes email to GuyA*
GuyB: GuyA is on holiday please hold the line
*1 week later*
GuyA: we need more time it's not ready yet
*2 weeks later?
Me: so?
GuyA: yeah it's ready here's the wsdl etc your client already has the password
*1 week later*
Me: yeah so I got the data but the api says my auth isn't working
GuyB: yeah your user isn't activated on the test system. I'm gonna forward that and come back at you
*1 week later*
GuyA: so we're going live in about 2 weeks hows testing going?
Me: well I'm still waiting for the response and activation
*suddenly it works*
Me: yeah so auth is working but i can't find any data. Is there any special test data?
GuyA: oh no there is NO test data on the test system. You need to wait for GuyB but he us not here today...
Me: are you fking kidding Me?????
... no response since then and it's been days.... -

Don't know if you guys have this kind of boxed up stuff inside like me. I have good friends, I have a good gf, I have great family and nice colleagues. But there are still so many things I don't share with them, especially the negative feelings I usually possess. Even here I don't share all the deep dark stuff.
As much as I wanna share my true identify and personal info here, the reason I'm restraining myself from doing so is this is the only place where I can say whatever really I wanna say in my mind. Except my blog but then my blog doesn't have any reader.5 -
Well, I really have nothing to rant about these days 😅
What I do have is a request for feedback on a project’s video, m working on the project and will release it open source once it works decently well, and most of all, when the code doesn’t look so atrociously bad 😅😅
It is basically a C/C++ package and project manager.
It can create, build, and run projects which u make, and add library flags and include directories automatically if that library exists in its package list.
It also contains package (=library) manager which can, as of now, install, uninstall, and fetch info of any package should it exist in the package list.
I will be adding package upgrading in the future, although package list updates can be performed.
Also, right now it can only build binary projects. I’ll soon be working to enable creation of library ( static/dynamic ) projects as well.
Finally, it allows for building of packages using CMake or configure, but uses a custom format to build projects.
Here is a video of building a project and installing libcurl on system:

Thanks a lot ☺️😊1 -
Whenever I have to ask about how certain code of someone else works, I feel bad. I feel like I should be able to figure it out on my own.
On the other hand, if people ask me to implement something within their code, that I am not familiar with, I kinda expect more info? Like if you don't have any tutorials or documentation on your tool, be prepared to answer some stupid questions about how to set it up and whatnot. How else am I gonna know how to start with? Having to read the entire source code is a massive waste of time, no?
tl;dr: if you don't provide documentation or tutorials, be ready to answer stupid questions.8 -
I've had a Xiaomi Mi 8 for a few months now. Although I'm impressed by what I got for the amount I paid (a phone that cost about $250 for 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 845, Android 9 and premium build quality is quite a steal), it definitely comes with a consequence.
MIUI (specifically MIUI 11) is godawful. It is single-handedly the worst Android ROM I've ever used since my shitty Android 2.2 phone back around 2010. If you're gonna buy a Xiaomi phone, plan to install Lineage OS on it (but even that's a pain which I'll explain why later).
- Navigation buttons don't hide while watching a video.
Why? God only knows. The ONLY way to bypass without root this is to use its garbage fullscreen mode with gestures, which is annoying as all hell.
- 2 app info pages?
Yeah, the first one you can access just by going to its disaster of a settings app, apps, manage apps and tap on any one.
The 2nd one you can access through the app info button in any 3rd party launcher. Try this: Download Nova launcher, go to the app drawer, hold on any app and tap "app info", and you'll see the 2nd one.
Basically, instead of modifying Android's FOSS source code, they made a shitty overlay. These people are really ahead of their time.
- Can only set lock screen wallpapers using the stock Gallery app
It's not that big an issue, until it is, when whatever wallpaper app you're using only allows you to set the wallpaper and not download them. I think this is both a fuckup on Xiaomi and (insert wallpaper app name here), but why Xiaomi can't include this basic essential feature that every other Android ROM ever made has is beyond me.
- Theming on MIUI 11 is broken
Why do they even bother having a section to customize the boot animation and status bar when there's not one goddamn theme that supports it? At this point you're only changing the wallpaper and icon pack which you can do on any Android phone ever. Why even bother?
They really, REALLY want to be Apple.
Just look at their phones. They're well designed and got good specs, but they don't even care anymore about being original. The notch and lack of a headphone jack aren't features, they're tremendous fuckups by the dead rotting horse known as Apple that died when Steve Jobs did.
Xiaomi tries to build a walled garden around an inherently customizable OS, and the end result is a warzone of an Android ROM that begs for mercy from its creator. Launchers integrate horribly (Does any power user actually use anything that isn't Nova or Microsoft launcher?), 3rd party themes and customization apps need workarounds, some apps don't work at all. People buy from Xiaomi to get a high end budget Android phone at the price of some ads and data collection, not a shitter iOS wannabe.
They really, REALLY want you to have a sim card
If you don't have a sim card and you're using your phone for dev stuff, you're a 2nd class citizen to Xiaomi. Without one, you can't:
- Install adb through adb
- Write to secure settings
- Unlock your bootloader and get away from this trash Android ROM
What's the point? Are they gonna shadow ban you? Does anyone contact them to unlock their bootloader saying "yeah I wanna use a custom rom to pirate lizard porn and buy drugs"? They made this 1000000000x harder than it needs to be for no reason whatsoever. Oh yeah and you gotta wait like a week or something for them to unlock it. How they fucked up this bad is beyond me.
So yeah. Xiaomi. Great phones, atrocious OS.

I am going to an AI conference in Berlin (which is kinda far away from me) next month.
I am just learning AI & ML and integrating them into a personal project, but I am going there to meet people, learn and gather info.
Do you have any advice on how I could network with people that are masters in this area?11 -
I found a vulnerability in an online compiler.
So, I heard that people have been exploiting online compilers, and decided to try and do it (but for white-hat reasons) so I used the system() function, which made it a lot harder so i decided to execute bash with execl(). I tried doing that but I kept getting denied. That is until I realized that I could try using malloc(256) and fork() in an infinite loop while running multiple tabs of it. It worked. The compiler kept on crashing. After a while I decided that I should probably report the vulnerabilites.
There was no one to report them to. I looked through the whole website but couldn't find any info about the people who made it. I searched on github. No results. Well fuck.6 -
Hi guys, I'm planing to move to the Netherlands(Amsterdam) by the middle/end of this year and I would like to ask for advices, recomendadtions or any info is welcome.
I'm 23 years old living in Spain since 12. Frontend Developer with 2 years experience in Angular, Node.
Also would like to know the salaries range for frontend Developer if someone knows anything.
Thanks a lot8 -
I wanted to suggest a functionality (keyboard shortcut) to a website. I see that their feedback button was pretty visible, which is weird because most websites I've visited first take you through 3 layers of "have you googled your question first?" before they let you send a question or feedback. Alas, I fell into the trap. First they asked me for the typical intrusive demographic info, and then they asked me marketing questions, and then... that's it. They didn't let me submit any feedback. They just took my info and left. great3

About two weeks ago i posted a rant containing an email from the big boss. Today they held a "virtual town hall" where people could ask questions, get answers, and generally just be online. Went fairly well, good info was handed out, and i think people mostly enjoyed themselves (even if it was at the expense of the higher-ups).
Then comes the email. The same person as last time had this quote:
"I’m good at giving advice, so I need to take some of my own. I intend to take it easy this weekend, watch Netflix, do some household chores, play the piano and maybe even read a book! "
Jesus christ. Remember those memes about zuck being a robot because everything he does it looks and feels like it's an alien trying to blend in? That's what this feels like. On a normal workyear i would hear from this person 10 times TOTAL. I have heard from them this amount in the past 2 WEEKS.
Maybe it's the virus, but this is driving me INSANE. If there's any lesson you can learn from this, it would be:
Dont pretend like you care by not knowing or learning anything about the people you work with.
Jesus they even sent out surveys to see what the telework experience is like... THE RESPONSES ARE RECORDED AND PUBLICLY DISPLAYED!!!
Ugh.1 -
Okay, where do I even fucking start.
Today, my account been hacked by some prick because i wouldn't send him fucking nudes. I quickly emailed discord and they keep sending me automated emails. I got so fucking pissed and then they emailed me "how did they get your info?" BITCH HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FUCKING KNOW? THATS WHY ITS CALLED HACKING IDIOT!
I sent them 5 fucking emails, no response.
Discord Support- Actually, DISCORD IN GENERAL IS A FUCKING HORRIBLE APP!
Message from discord: I am isabe*******@Gmail.com. I'm fucking pissed how your damn support team won't fucking just give my goddamn Discord account back. KEEP IN MIND I HAD A YEAR OF NITRO, A YEAR AND DISCORD CLEARLY DON'T GIVE A SHIT! YOU GUYS ARE SO FUCKING UNFAIR! LITERALLY YOU GUYS DON'T SOLVE ANY DAMN SITUATIONS WITHOUT IT TAKING MONTHS, OR YOU JUST DONT FUCKING REPLY!7 -
What I have learned from neutral networks for my life.
It's already a year that I'm familiar with NNs. I did not write anything serious and did not learn it that deep. But, actually, the basic knowledge gave me an interesting view to my life. I just want to share one fact with you.
There is a learning speed in NNs, which specifies how fast does the network learn. If it is too high, any new information will be accepted very easily but will wipe the past of the network's knowledge and if it is too low, the network will hardly accept new info but remember everything. When people born, they learn everything very fast and by the age they become more hard-learners Here, I've learned that you should not live in the past, and not for the current day. You just have to keep the balance.1 -
At first glance, this week's group rant seems perfect for me since I have drunk coded at least 2 to 3 times per month (my TGIFs are usually followed by Saturday morning demo meetings).
However I cannot say I have had any particular "worst" code that I have done so far.
Yea I once formatted and installed some linux distro while drunk and couldn't remember the login info the next morning.
Yea I once exported, imported between dbs from prod and local while drunk and lost this and that data.
Yes I once decided to organize my repositories and somehow deleted some repos without any backup while I was drunk.
I was fine. I somehow solved my way out by either bullshitting or being quiet or fixing without any sleep. Most of the times nobody really comprehend the extent of my actions. So I was fine. Hence I really don't have any particular worst drunk coding experience yet.
Best drunk coding experience?
Well I do not agree that coding while drunk is a pleasurable or fun thing to do. So I don't really have that either.
This week's topic is actually a very tough one although it might seem easy. -
Fk you Google!
My Samsung note 10 screen went dead near a week ago... it's a secondary line so waiting for parts wasn't the end of the world.
Ofc the screen (curved and incl a fingerprint reader thatd be a major pain to not replace) was integrated to the whole front half... back panel glued, battery, glued immensely and with all other parts out, about 6mm space only at the bottom to get a tool in to pry it out.
New screen (off brand) ~200... all genuine parts amazon refurb ~230... figured id have some extra hardware for idk what... i like hardware and can write drivers so why not.
Figured id save a bit of time and avoid other potentially damaged (water) components to just swap out the mobo unit that had my storage.
Put it back together, first checked that my sim was recognised since this carrier required extraneous info when registering the dev... worked fine... fingerprint worked fine, brave browser too...
Then i open chrome. It tells me im offline... weird cuz i was literally in a discord call. My wifi says connected to the internet (not that i wouldn't have known the second there was a network issue... i have all our servers here and a /28 block... ofc i have everything scripted and connected to alert any dev i have, anywhere i am, the moment something strange happens).
Apparently google doesnt like the new daughter board(i dislike the naming scheme... its weird to me)... so anything that is controlled by google aside from the google account that is linked to non-google reliant apps like this... just hangs as if loading and/or says im offline.
I know... itll only take me about the 5-10m it took to type this rant but ffs google... why dont you even have an error message as to what your issue is... or the simple ability to let me log in and be like 'yup it's me, here's your dumb 2fa and a 3rd via text cuz you're extra paranoid yet dont actually lock the account or dev in any way!'
I think it's a toss up if google actually knows that it's doing this or they just have some giant glitch that showed up a couple times in testing and was resolved via the methods of my great grama- "just smack it or kick it a few times while swearing at it in polish. Like reaaaally yelling. Always worked for me! If not, find a fall guy."7 -
Had a deal with a client that i’ll make a website for him in a month because I have other jobs that i need to finish first. I called him 2 days ago i said that i’ll upload the website for confirmation of the design in a few days, he says ok. I get around to it, developed the frontend on localhost, put it on my server for him to approve and sent him the link. He said something about a specific photo not being grayscale or whatever - I don’t even have any info for the site that he sent, got confused, ok.. I go to his old website to get some information onto the new one, surprise surprise a new website that I don’t have anything to do with appeared. Wtf, check the ftp - was uploaded 5 days ago. Fml just wasted a day and got no sleep. 99.9% that i wont get paid. Bamboozled. Cant sleep, wtf4

Got our snazzy new HP Elitebooks from IT. Nice lil laptops.
Guess how many apps they installed for us off the list of "Applications Devs Need" that was submitted with the original request that they asked us to provide.
Goddamn 0. 0 Apps installed. ”Instead here is admin access, install what you want.”
Being a PC guy I don't mind setting up a new environment but things like Office365 and Adobe CC could of been installed for me, I don't have the licence info offhand so now I gotta bug IT again and why ask for a list if your not going to install any of them?? Ugh. I don't have time to sit here while Adobe installs the whole suite....

What's the first thing you install on your new PC? I find I grab ConEMU first.6 -
This literally happened in my current team, and I'm not even an experienced dev yet.
Incident happened like this :
Our team is working on a RCP based on eclipse plugins, which has a headless mode and a GUI mode. Now, in the GUI mode, my manager cum architect thought there are no need of user log files (long story) because the user can see the info on screen, whereas in the headless mode, she wanted me to print the logs onto the console and a log file as well.
Now it just so happened that our team had got a recent addition as a replacement to our lead developer (she left the company) who claimed she had 3 years of expertise and a masters degree, and she was assigned a task. The task was to format a custom file we were generating out of the product (basically dumping info in a file) in a human-readable format. Miss new-addition-masters-degree decided it would be a very good idea to redirect the standard java output stream to a file output stream ( which she used for generating the formatted file ) but somehow never realized that she needed to reset the output stream back to standard output.
Consequences were devastating. I wrote the logic for the logger ( yes, apparently any available logging mechanism won't do it, again, long story ) and had it printing to a file in tmp directory. The logs seemed to be working fine initially but after a few logs, specifically from the point where the formatter started working, all the logs got printed in the formatted file. And this file was supposed to be used by our clients to develop something on top of it. Naturally, I got the heat of it and then naturally, worried and nervous and curious and in a frenzied state of mind, I started debugging.
When I got to the actual fault, I seriously could not decide whether to cry or laugh or call up miss masters and scream at her. I decided to ask her about what the hell she had written and her answer was most of it was written by the developer she replaced, so she didn't know it would cause this much problem. Anyway, I fixed the leak after that and averted the catastrophe.
And that, fellow devs, is the story of how I solved a crisis in my first year at corporate.1 -

Multi User, One Account, and other shit
I'm gonna rant about something as a user, and someone who makes stupid web stuff.
My bank has been updating their web banking over time and they decided that every individual on an account, should have their own login. They really want to push this on their users, I suspect specifically folks like me and my wife who share one login for the joint accounts we have at the bank together.
Why share one login, because it's the only sure fire way I know that I and my wife can see all the same shit no doubt about it.
The banks never tell you what you can see or can't with joint accounts, I doubt it is even documented on their end, but in every damn case something is hidden or different in some weird way.
Messages to the bank people? If I send it, my wife often can't. I get that for security reasons that's a thing, but it makes no sense for a joint account.
ANY difference to me breaks online banking ENTIRELY. Joint accounts are supposed to be... well one account that is the same.
Other banks we used where we had different logins for the joint account, each login actually had separate bill pay accounts per user. So if I went to bill pay and scheduled something to be paid, my wife had no idea, same if she did.
Right fucking there, banking is just broken entirely!
So no Mr. Bank, fuck you we're both logging in via the same login.
Fast forward to N00bPancakes making a thing.
So my employer has a customer (Direct Customer). Direct Customer wants a thing that makes communication with their customer (Indirect Customer) easier.
The worst thing about making something for your customer's customer is that Direct Customer always imagines that Indirect Customer is gonna be super ninja power users....
But no, that's not the case... in fact almost nobody is a power user, and absolutely nobody WANTS to be a power users.
Worse yet in my case the only reason this tool exists is because Direct Customer and Indirect Customer can't communicate well enough anyway... that should tell you something about the amount of effort Indirect Customer is willing to expend.
So with that tool, this situation constantly comes up:
Direct Customer thinks it would be great if every user from Indirect Company had some sort of custom messaging, views, and etc in of Cool Communication Tool. The reason is because that's what Direct Customer loves about Ultra Complex Primary Tool that they use ....
Then I have to fight the constant fight of:
NOBODY WANTS TO BE A POWER USER, NOBODY EVEN WANTS TO DO MUCH OF ANYTHING ON THE INTERNET THAT ISN'T SCREAMING AT OTHER PEOPLE OR POST MEMES OR WATCH SHITTY VIDEOS. THE MOMENT ANYONE AT INDIRECT COMPANY LOGS IN AND SEES ANY INFO THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM THEIR COWORKER THEY'LL SHIT THEMSELVES, FLOOD EVERYONE WITH 'OH GAWD SOME NON SPECIFIED THING IS WRONG' AND RESPOND TO EMAILS LIKE A JELLYFISH DROPPED OFF IN NEW MEXICO... AND NOTHING WILL GET DONE!!!
God damn it people.
Also side rant while I'm busy fighting the good fight to keep shit simple and etc:
People bitch about how horrible the modern web is and then bitch at web devs like we're rulers of the internet or something.... What really pisses me off about that is other devs who do that.... like bro, do you make policy at your company? You decide not to sell some info or whatever shit your company sells? Like fuck off with your 'man I miss html' because you got scared by some shitty JS error and ran back to your language of choice and just poked your head out of the the basement and got scared... and you shit on another developer about that? Fuck you. -
So I want to inform my internet provider of my new phone number, but I can't remember any of my login info for their web interface because I never used it. Luckily, they have a "forgot my username" function, where I submit my email address and get a confirmation that my username has been sent to me.
Yet, I just don't get said email. I try again, but no avail. So I just guess my username and use their "forgot password" form, which – hooray! – confirms it just sent my an email.
But I don't get any email. I retry, I retry after a day, but no automatic response. I remember a incident a few years back when I didn't get some automatically generated mails from a company and decide to contact their support if they could just reset my password manually.
Nearly a week passes.
Now I received the answer. I just don't have an account.
Lesson learned: Next time I'll just input garbage first to check if those forms are sane. -
Rant #1
I’ve got a new client wanting me to take over their website, okay... I’ll take care of you.
What’s the hold up?
1. Anon, Get ahold of this person, they’ve got the info you’ll need.
2. We will get together sometime to go over paperwork.
3. We are waiting on the board to sign off on a contract switch.
4. I’m needing this changed immediately on the site or we will be fined, but I understand you don’t have the information to make that change - can you get ahold of X to get the information?
5. *gets ahold of X* - still waiting on Y to approve contract release and change.
Listen, I have my faults too on running my own business but at least I know what I can and can’t do when either accepting or turning away a client. I’d be happy to work on your website, but you’ve got to get approval from those on your team before you make a change, that’s not on me. It’s cool that you need whatever changed on your site before the end of the week, but I can’t help you until I’m officially signed on. Please don’t request content change when I don’t have access to the content to change it.
Go get approval by your team first before you call me about making changes to your site, we haven’t even exchanged any information or paperwork yet.
Rant #2
If you call me again knowing that I’m on a two month leave from work, I’ll slit your throat and fuck the wound. It’s 1:40. There are other techs, you’ve got the on-call list in front of you. I’m flattered you went through the trouble of finding my PERSONAL NUMBER, but I have rants to write damn it. -
Depends on the project.
If it is a full application I usually start with what information it will handle.
Then either sketch out some database or some pages depending on how much info I got and if I got any good examples.
The less info I have, the more I try to focus on use cases and workflow to try to figure out what data will be needed.
But for more niche projects, like supportive library, ex parsers, I either mock some test in linqpad or look for similar examples online to flesh out the idea.
But I tend to very quickly fill out the basic shape and try to get something that can be tested.
Then I can find if I need to rethink it. -
Hi. I am new here. I have a question. I have been using window my whole life until now. I want to try linux now. Which one best? And is there any place where i can get all info(installion n all) about it....15

Roughly one year ago we'd been setting up our network to have our IP whitelisted.
The process took way more than it should've. Here's why:
* Back story: *
Coworker had been talking to IT because he wanted his PC && a devkit to have static IPs.
IT did that && set up the network so that in the future they wouldn't have to be bothered about it.
They set aside a pool of IPs 10.0.2.50-10.0.2.100.
/* You _know_ where this is going, right? */
Coworker: We have our static IPs. This is our range: 10.0.2.50-10.0.2.100. Could you pass it over to $company_name so that we have our IPs whitelisted?
Boss: Finally! Yes, will do.
* Passes the info over. *
* Week passes. *
C: Do we have our IPs whitelisted?
B: Got the info that they should be.
C: Damn, it doesn't work!
* B starts blaming $company_name 's support. *
* Another week passes. *
C: Any word on the whitelisted IPs?
B: They tell me it's set up. Can you try now?
C: Nope, still doesn't work.
* B starts bitching about IT how they're incompetent. How they were supposed to be pros && all that. *
/* I got wind of the whole situation. */
Me: Hold on. Those aren't the IP we need to pass to the $company_name.
* Provide the _correct_ Internet-facing IP. *
* Gets whitelisted within 1-2 days. *
These are the people I'm dealing w/ right now. They'll bitch about everyone being incompetent, but when it turns out _they_ have been at fault I hear no responsibility being taken.
/* I'm also reminded of this adage: Garbage In, Garbage Out. So true. */2 -
This isn't really a rant yet but... I am... 1000% sure it will be soon!
Has anyone played around with hackintosh on an Alienware 17 r3 (6700hq, 970m, fhd) or 15 r2?
Any info you can provide is welcome.
I bought this beauty a few months back and I don't want to pay for a Mac at this point(never mind their horsepower that's a different rant!) so I have a new cheap nvme SSD coming in tomorrow to throw a hackintosh on it2 -
I'm currently a student in college. First semester of first year for the first 'real' programming course the school has offered, and we realized that they have told everyone to store their server login info in a connectvars.php file. 45 minutes and three tests later we had a script that was capable of outputting the username / password combo for any account on the schools server who had taken that course, ever.

Got the GitHub student developer pack in 10th grade (highschool)
I recently made an application for GitHub student developer pack which got accepted .
If you don't know what this pack is all about , let me tell you this pack gives you free access to various tools that world-class developers use. The pack currently contains 23 tools ranging from Data Science, Gaming, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, APIs, Integrated Development Environments, Version Control Systems, Cloud Hosting Platforms, Code tutorials, Bootcamps, integration platforms, payment platforms and lots more.
I thought my application wouldn't qualify because after reading the documentation , I thought that It was oriented more towards college and university students but nonetheless I applied and my application got accepted . Turns out all you need is a school -issued verifiable email address or proof of you current academic status (marksheets etc.)
After few minutes of the application I got the "pro" tag on my GitHub profile although I didn't receive any emails .
I tested it out and claimed the Canva Pro subscription for free after signing up with my GitHub account.
I definitely recommend , if you are currently enrolled in a degree or diploma granting course of study such as a high school, secondary school, college, university, homeschool, or similar educational institution
and have a verifiable school-issued email address or documents that prove your current student status, have a GitHub user account
and are at least 13 years old , PLEASE APPLY FOR THE PROGRAM .
Checkout the GitHub docs for more info..
Thanks !

PS. I would have posted links to some sites and documentations for further reading but I can't post url's in a rant yet :(

You know what's hard...
Fixing a bug which occurred in production without having any logs because you log that useful info at debug level. 😧
Now take pen and paper, do calculation on your own and speculate what would have happened in production.3 -
Tech lead is getting on my friggin nerves. The tech lead keeps all the important info about the project for himself, does no sort of coding just merges stuff on Git and makes me handle any small fry problems which give me little to no insight into the project.
Then complains to the manager about the fact that nobody will help him and he has no time to do any work.
Meanwhile he creates own little club of people to talk to and stops talking to us devs.
Is this how its always been?7 -
Microservices
Lets take an example: Products service & orders service.
When I want to save an order for a user, data saved as
1. UserId, ProductId, Quantity, Date
Or
2. UserId, Name, Email, ProductId, ProductName, Quantity, Date
I'm a bit confused here because if I'm going to fetch that purchase, in example 1, it will return IDs requiring another trip to server to get user & product info
In example two it takes only one trip BUT if any changes is made to either user info or product info it means I'm returning wrong info to the user.
What do we do in this scenario? Excuse my questions first time applying Microservices and been using monolith all my life6 -
Fuck I feel fucked up just for completing user account management, authentication, email verification, password reset. Securing all of this with ssl and checking for any security loopholes.
I can't believe this took me more than a couple months.
Well I was lazy and unmotivated.
I fucking hate crafting stupid ass routes in nginx.
I fucking hate making a nice responsive gui.
I have to design even the stupid html for the emails. Fuuuuck.
So much boilerplate on top of that with username and email validation.
I learnt regex 5 times over the past couple months, still not enough.
And now I actually have to build the functional part.
On the plus side I can reuse this stupid boilerplate if I can make it more modular and readable.
There's shit ton of comments to the point where I feel like an idiot for including so much info. It's like I've written it for a toddler to take over.
Gawd. Anyways it's over now. 50% I guess.
I can finish the rest of the server more quickly and then spend another year designing the Android application.
I'm really lazy in places where I have to design UI/UX. Although at this point it's kinda what could put my application at the top. (I'm lazy, I ain't bad.. I just hate implementing my ideas I wish I could just visualize and have it appear on my screen)
I do like parts of gui that involve little math problems that would make motion smooth and efficient. -
I'm at a bit of a loose end here, I'll do my best to explain and I hope it all makes sense.
I'm trying to find a way to wrap a C++ Console App in a C# Class so I can use the C++ App as a library within the C# app rather than triggering the C++ exe and providing a command to it.
The reason why I wish to do it this way is for maintainability, so I can make changes to the C++ app without affecting the C# App.
I've been looking at tutorials and stack overflow to see if's its possible, but for someone with learning difficulties, I'm struggling to find the right path to take as I'm seeing conflicting info.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance5 -
So today i had to visit this banks site to do updation on a document but for some reason the modal dialogue that was supposed to open was not working and i couldn't continue to next step.
On an attempt to contact customer support, i browsed the site for relevant details. As i do that, i observed this site is so shitty that it can't even properly render on Google Chrome! It was an horrific experience finding info in that site.
Finally found the customer support form and as I clicked the "submit" it didn't give any feedback whether it was processing or not. After like over a minute of uncertainty, it got redirected to a 404 page.
Frustrated, I went on to their twitter and I almost tweeted calling out their terrible web developer team.
But, my instinct told me to calm my titties and i tweeted a regular confused user tweet.
Got their attention and few hrs later i got a phone call from someone working there. He didn't sound like a customer service representative from the way he spoke. He told it was an issue with their website and had fixed it. I tried again as he was on the line but it was not working for me. And then i shared screenshot of the issue. He tested it again and said it was working for them. Still not working for me. ( Probably cache issue on my end ). Thought he would suggest to clear cache and try. But he asked me to try on another computer since it was working for him.
As i searched for a another system, i got a call from customer support guy and he said he will do the update on their end and told me to tell details. Since the info was not that sensitive in nature, I went with it.
Pretty sure the other guy i talked to was a developer.
This made me think - had i tweeted out a mean tweet calling out their shitty website it would have been probably awkward talking to him - I'd have to be mean again. It could've ruined his day, maybe he was under pressure from his pm that he had to make the phone call. He probably hates his job already managing that shitty legacy code..
I don't know - either way, I'm glad i was able to keep myself calm and not be a source of negative energy. -
I was about a year into working for this small marketing company as the only developer. I was still pretty new to development, my first real gig, 2006'ish.
Form processing was still a struggle for me, so my really cool idea was to use an open sourced tool that would create and process any type of contact form, (think wufoo, but on your own server)
Anyway it was working great, then a few months later we decided to move all 30 of or our small clients to a new server, I moved everything over and deleted the old site (didn't make a backup of any DB (who does that?) got a call the next morning that none of our contact forms were working and nobody had any info stored from previous contacts.
Spent the next 2 weeks getting really good at php. We never did that again. -
Oh god i have been fighting with exoplayer library and ima sdk for past month and yet i haven't been able to figure out how to play multiple VAST tags without using a vmap.. if anyone knows this( or find this relevent and want more info regarding this) please, let's chat.
I am sometimes so irritated with open source. We are grateful that you made a great video player , but please for the love of god , document it nicely. No one can skimm through your 800 fucking classes, especially when a quarter of them are core c++ classes that an android dev never even touches.
Plus no replies on issues! My god, you know after SO, the second tab that's almost always open on my PC is that of some github library or issue. And am sure that must be the case of most of the devs. Then why can't you fucking reply?????
You see, this is typical google.. i am beleive they see everything and ignore it until the right moment comes... Android dev summit is coming, and they won't make any replies now, but would make big changes on the day of their on stage presentations like a boss, recieving lots of applauses, like " yay, they fixed it!! Yess more documentation " bull fucking shit.
My boss knows this and he is on my ass to find solutions before google releases solutions coz he wanna stay ahead of the competition
Thanks for fucking me, open source1 -
So here's what I'm putting up with for the last 6 months, clients..
A client proposed to me a project he had in mind. Project is pretty solid, could have a bright future. Since they didn't have the money to spend, we agreed on a % of the income they will earn from the project. So, let's say I get 20% of the income in exchange for building the application. I didn't receive any down payment or payment of any kind.
Just for info, project is a Web application/portal and it is ~80% done at the moment. Client provided a logo and a wireframe/ideas/pictures how he sees the project. I built everything, from DB to Frontend. Also, project is completely custom made, no CMS or anything. Project will make profit by subscription base, every user of the project pays.
For various reasons, we did not yet sign a contract. So, what is my issue...
Client sent me his proposal of the contract, said it's solid stuff, just sign it. In the contract, it stated that he owns the application in full, can sell it, etc. and I get % of the price. There were also other sneaky parts about me having all the responsibility but owning nothing. I naturally declined and took a lawyer to construct a normal contract.
My proposal was/is, I own the application(source code) in full. They are obligated to pay the monthly percentage and can use the application normally and make profit. At any time, application can be bought by the client if they pay for the development. So, basically, they are getting the application to use "for free" with no initial payment/investment. And this is a long term deal, they can use is as this as long as they want. Also, if they go bankrupt at any time, no penalty or payment is needed, the risk is mine.
The client refused and what he claims is the following...
His share in the project is 80%, mine is 20%. If project is to be sold, I get 20% of the price. So, meaning, if we go to production tomorrow, if I want to buy his share, I have to buy 80% of the application I built entirely. Also he is convinced that by "telling me" what to built he's owning everything. In his words, he dictated me the notes and I'm just playing the violin.
I am having trouble explaining to him that he is getting the application to use and make profit basically for free and cannot and does not own the source code unless he buys it off. We are going in circles, I send him the contract to review, he changes it and returns it back. Also, he removes the parts where it is clearly states what he provided and what was done by me.
So, we kind off agreed on the authorship but in the case we break the contract he wants to be able to use the application for 3 more years.
Was anyone here in a similar situation? How do you handle this kind of situations?3 -
Surely I can't be the only one curious enough to start this discussion; so what's everyone's backgrounds?
I'm sure we're all under the assumption that we're all developers of some sort and like to rant about what we do-- hence the app name-- but what does everyone do? Such as what you make, what you've made, your skill set and a little info about yourself
Myself, I'm a 21 year old male from the North West of England. My name isn't actually Markshall, it's Mark, but I'm a huge fan of Eminem so it's a play on my name on his (Marshall).
I'm primarily focused on web development but I started programming at the age of 11ish in Visual Basic 6 and found the web development was my chosen area of expertise. I know the obvious HTML and CSS, but also know PHP and JavaScript and have lots of experience with MySQL databases and rather extensive knowledge of the jQuery library -- yes, I do know it's a library and not a separate language before people get pissy!
I'm not yet employed by a web development company, I work in retail whilst I freelance my web development skills
I have an online portfolio at http://mark-eriksson.com (needs a little updating-- not all my projects are on there and you're unable to view any information about them)
I write code in Brackets (http://brackets.io) on my 21.5" iMac. I use Google Chrome and have iPhone 6s Plus 64GB. PS4 player. Vodka and Jack Daniels enthusiast.
So, what about you?
Side note: devRant needs an edit feature :-(12 -
Found an institutional coaching centre leaking 1000s of students personal data phone, photo, db, parents info, documents photo path, payment method(bank, check, card) etc. They 32567 rows. I'm trying to find the admin login page. It seems they have it on separate subdomain. I found student login and I can login as any student. I hate these institutes. Sent them emails days ago (29 sept) but no reply yet. What should I do?2

Any of you are annoyed by your non-technical manager work practices?
Every release I feel like our manager's goal is to have our planning and results look good in front of higher management, no matter if it is true or not.
Oh this big task could not be done because we had to plan 4 months in advance with no info and poorly done requirements? Well let's just push it to the next release we can't have unfinished tasks logged in.
Oh we don't have time to work on tech debt and refactoring, there are too many features and bugfixes to do. Well maybe that is why there are so many bugs, eh?
Oh your automated test results need to all look perfect, does not matter if your test are even good or actually doing anything in the first place, as long as it passes.
Also, I was promised agile and got a waterfall-like bullshit process instead that barely works.
Anyways just morning rambling.1 -
Dude in my Calc 2 class just bitched about iPhones having "shitty software" referencing that bug from around ~6 years ago, when a specific iMessage text would reboot your phone. IMO, 99% of what Apple does well is software. UI is subjective, but final cut pro is unbelievable in terms of functionality for its price, their software is so well optimized that iPhones have been able to use comparably tiny batteries and still compete. They are consistent throughout their company with software design, while companies like Google are so stratified it took years before their material design had been implemented in all their services, there are still a few that aren't (not to mention the meme of Google killing off all their projects). I hate tablets, but the iPad pro has the best software/hardware implementation of any I've ever seen. Apple's interconnectivity between devices is unbelievable, whether it's Continuity features or the setup process just recognizing group devices around and pulling data to create consistent account info and saving you taps. Siri is shit, but apart from that their software isn't bad enough that you should complain about that instead of...
Their Macs are fucking pressure-cookers, and their fuckin marketing department is like a different company all-together, and their anti-fix-it-yourself policies are so user hostile that they're toe-to-toe with being as abusive to customers as Oracle.
TL;DR the biggest scam Apple has pulled off is not that the sheep still think Android and PC users are living in 2010, but they've convinced the sheep that they know what shitty software is. At that point they're too many levels deep and there is no red-pill strong enough for them.2 -
I have started to learn Python and have ventured to the usual places to try and learn. Udemy, YouTube, Mimo app, and Programming Hub app.
I'm familiar with programming languages like c#, and JavaScript but have never become proficient in any of them. I'm hoping I can change that with Python.
Im looking for anything I can get. Advice, links, books, not sure what else there is. If it will help me learn and hopefully retain the info than I'm all for it.
Cheers15 -
So today I was asked to make a 2 programs, one to send socket data to the Android either through wireless or through the USB and the program on the Android to receive that data and send an SMS according to the data .....
Through Wireless was working like a charm, through USB required to use the adb to do some forwarding ... done that and the Android keep's receiving the data without any info inside .... after a few hours of searching and 0 info (even asked on stackoverflow 0 anwsers) so I just decided to insert a System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(250); after the Connection is done when its chosen the Cable on the GUI ... and now its working -.-2 -
So I’ve asked my Unis infrastructure guys via mail, why we don’t use the digital id with our phone additional to our RFID Badge.
One of those (maybe a moron, I don’t judge yet, see question below) replies, that they would need to replace all readers “as current ones rely on RFID scanning chips” and they are not sure how US Unis implemented it.
Thing is, that when I hold my iPhone SE 2020 next to the reader, my phone shows my credit card to use for Apple Pay.
Doesn’t that mean, that they use compatible RFID frequencies ?
I’m not an iOS dev, so maybe someone can help me out. Any info appreciated!11 -

TL;DR Does Telegram really secure?
Some people say Telegram is the most secure and safe messenger, some say it's not. If you're familiar with it you may know from news that Telegram did not gave its clients' info to government, you may have heard that Telegram's encryption is not the best one, BUT my question is does it store peoples' private chats' keys? Actually it does with normal chats because if you reinstall Telegram you can easily get normal chats' messages. Also my friend said that any application in mobile stores like App Store sign a agreement with stores owner company that if some points met, the application owner have to share info of its clients. So dear friend what do you think, should I continue using Telegram)?
P.S. sorry for my not the best English5 -
Dumb question time!
I'm writing a bash script that outputs some progress info to stdout (stuff like "Doing this... ok", "Doing that... ok") before outputing a list of names (to stdout too).
I'd like to be able to pipe this list of names to a second script for processing, by doing a simple :
~$ script1 | script2
Unfortunately, as you may have guessed, the progress info is piped as well, and is not displayed on the screen.
Is it considered a bad practice to redirect that progress info to stderr so it is not sent into the pipe ?
Is there any "design pattern" for this kind of usecase, where you want to be able to choose what to display and what to pipe to a program that accepts input from stdin ?16 -
Which php framework is worth getting into? Laravel seems to have most market or should I go with CakePHP or even something else? any info is appreciated (how are the docs, is it hard to find solutions, how is the error handler, how hard is it to learn etc), I am sure people around here have used a good amount of them and can tell their rage or good things about it. 😳8

During interview about possible spying by Huawei President of Czech republic said few minutes ago that he will do his best to try to negotiate our stand with China, since he does not see any problem with possible spying, because its common practice of trade war between tech giants. He later added that he does not think that leaked names and addresses might be any problem "What would people do with such an info".
I mean... what difference would make if he had a lobotomy?7 -
Yeah, I have experience qith qorst CS teacher.

Holy fucking shit bois. This is gonna be a long one.
So, its my last studying year for me. I found a nice apprenticeship in a dev company for which i'll have to make apps and stuff, so, I'll work at the company and at school.
Now it's good innit? Well here's the catch. I have to sign a contract for this. And the CUNT who is filling this shit is retarded enough to fuck up.
This bitch, a 40 yo accountant, surely filled many goddamn contracts before mine, but nooo, this wanker fucked this, the contract was missing important infos and some of them were incorrect, in short, it's not valid, 0/10, will never sign this.
Now here's the fun part, this cunt asked me for my infos, i gave them to him so that he could fill the document : he misinterpreted them, filling the paper with junk.
Today, I heard that he is unhappy of my behaviour towards him, and that I shouldn't insult his work with these accusations, saying that if I gave them more info (for which they didn't ask), there would be no problems.
He then called me, while I was in class, he acted smugly, said I was unclear and that I should gather more info for them, in other terms, "lmao do this yourself cunt"
"Fuck you, you cumstain, if you would've asked me, I would've been able to give you these infos right away, but you didn't, it's your fault for this, you're breaking mah balls yadda yadda"
(Roughly what I said, especially the insults)
I'm now forced to fill the contract myself because this bitch isn't able to google shit for 5 minutes to find everything he needed.
I have had so many problems with people of his kind, that I can't stand them now. Are they like animals? Do they feel my hate for them?
Sorry for dat long post, but fuck this, if the contract isn't filled, signed, and validated before the end of the month, I'm fucked, since i won't be able to sign up for the school.
Does anyone have had any problems like this? Like, a very egocentric cunt that isn't able to do something good because he is too proud to ask, so he prefers doing things his own way?1 -
I need help:
I’m on a (old) MacBook Air (2018 but before the new one) and I use 2 browsers: Chrome & Brave (school and personal).
Since 3~4 days, I keep getting logged out of all my accounts on both browsers, and I can’t see to find why.
I don’t block all cookies, all my login info is saved (autocomplete), but I always get logged out.
Any ideas?3 -
So I currently work at my first job and have for 2 years now. First project I had was to redesign a user info set up page. Didn't know any of the languages so kinda had to just wing it. Anyway finally committed my code and tested on dev server. Then code pushed to production and tested there. Then I saw a message from one of the top devs saying nobody could login. I replied saying that I was able to. Well, I actually ended up making it to where no one could log in except me. I learned real quick to never fuck up like that again. Surprised I wasn't fired on the spot.1

So my (windows 10) laptop decided to suddenly forget about its Bluetooth capability. And about its Bluetooth hardware.
Now, I did not restart my system, I just left it idle for a while. Heck, I played rainbow six before leaving it idle (with a Bluetooth mouse, of course)
Tried checking for the settings (didn't find any settings related to Bluetooth service), didn't find it in device manager, useful the troubleshooter (bastard says the problem is I have no Bluetooth hardware installed), tried restarting the system, checked in bios menu (couldn't see hardware info printed in bios system info), tried updating/reinstalling the driver.
The hell am I supposed to do?9 -
me: "say, TL, why don't I see any debug/info/warn logs in dev/qa environments?"

PCI DSS scan came back saying that WebDAV extensions need to be disabled. Kind of surprised, since I have other servers I’ve configured to standard and I can’t find anything in my notes about it.
In either case, been searching for info on how to fix it for 2 days and turned up nothing useful. Report found it on ports 80 and 443, so a firewall fix seems out here.

Question...
Bout a month back went for an interview, went well, assessment and all that, but the company was busy moving so feedback was slow.
Last week got contacted by a client of a former company who is now also looking for a dev.
Company 1 just came back wanting to discuss offer, and company 2 will probably get back to me tomorrow.
Question is, there like any reason to disclose the info to them. The second guy I know, he was client for about a year.1 -
Hey guys. I need your advice about writing a documentation. I want to make a flowchart with all processes of this client’s mobile app so I could see the UX logic and also all UI screens in the app. I also want to somehow add backend info in order to see which endpoints are being called in these screens and what type of responses are we parsing there.
Currently flowchart is done in draw.io, some of sketches are in zeplin, and there is 0 backend documentation just some implementation in our mobile app.
I would like to combine all of this into some useful document/overview so I could pass this doc to a junior dev and he could jump working into project without a problem.
Do you know any tools to do this?1 -

I need some help with advice regarding getting new headphones, as my current ones are quite literally about to fall off my head. Thing is that I have a hard time finding what I want, and even then be able to determine stuff based on reviews.
My current ones are a pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force Z60, which is my first headset to have surround sound. They also sit very comfortably on my head without really pressing on my ears at all, and the audio when playing games is nice and clear. Unfortunately that has now set the bar pretty high when trying to find a new pair.
I tried out a pair of HyperX Cloud II, but I can't configure the settings and the surround sound doesn't seem to work at all (there seems to be a "gap" between one o'clock and three o'clock, so to speak, as well as between nine o'clock and eleven o'clock). I tried listening to a 7.1 audio clip, but the only ones in the right positions were center front and left and right fronts. The left and right sides, and left and right rears were all at the center point. And besides that the audio is unbalanced and just... not quite muffled, but not clear as with the old ones.
Thing is also that I don't know crap about audio stuff, like if it's got to do with me doing something wrong in terms of drivers or hardware or something, or if it's actually got to do with the headphones themselves. I've tried to find info but there's just none to be found, it seems, at least nothing that works. :(
Currently I'm considering trying out another pair from Turtle Beach, but it's so hard to trust the reviews. I mean, like the Z60 has pretty halfassed ratings, but I personally like them a lot. :/
Does anyone have any advice at all? Whether it's recommendations of headphones, or ideas on things I could try on my end to make things work.
AND, side note; I don't care for any comments along the line of "surround sound is bullshit, just stick with stereo, it's better", because 1) I don't agree nor do I care, and 2) it's unconstructive as shit.
I'm thankful for any ideas or advice you guys may have. :/11 -
Optimization concepts/patterns or instances?
For pattern its gotta be any time i can take a O(n^2) and turn it into O(n) or literally anything better than O(n^2).
Instance would probably be the time that we took an api method that returned a json list made up of dictionaries CSV-style and changed it into a dictionary with the uid as the key and the other info as key-value pairs in a sub-dictionary. So instead of:
[
{
"Name": name,
"Info":info
}
]
We now return:
{
name:
{
"Info": info
}
}
Which can, if done right, make your runtime O(1), which i love. -
So, I've been seeing a lot of people concerned about privacy around here lately.
I completely understand it, and I too, don't want all my data to be available for anyone at any given time. I get it.
However, the only way to get privacy, is to build it yourself.
Buying a phone? Who says (apart from the company itself) that it doesn't have some integrated chip, or that the os lies to you or w/e
When using your phone, who says your Sim provider isn't intercepting all your traffic with a man in the middle attack?
These sound like conspiracies, however, if you really want privacy, either build it yourself (or with other privacy activists) or let go of the comforts of technology (i know, you're not the only source of info about yourself, the only way to shield yourself is to go into the woods and live a simple life.)
It's pretty sad that these are the two options, but I've yet to find a better one.
(ps, I used to have a "no logs, no ip, no anything" VPN provider, and as soon as some agency requested info, they got it, so I wouldn't easily trust the promise of 3rd parties anymore.)12 -

Anyone have any info about unconventional ways to inject JavaScript into an external website? I'm trying to become more knowledgeable about security vulnerabilities in the web apps I build and I've been having a lot of fun trying this stuff out in other live sites haha. I haven't used CI/CD to actually deploy an app. But I really want to automate all of that in my company. We use gitlab, so the logical thing is to use Gitlab's devops(?). Anyone who can guide me on an adventure for starting on CI/CD? Not sure if I need to give any more info, please let me know14 -
Question: Should I stay in my current role, ask for a pay rise, or find somewhere new?
Situation:
Right now, I'm effectively doing a lead developer role for half the salary of the other member of my team- I'm code reviewing their work (which often has many many errors in it), creating and assigning tickets for both myself and them and engaging in many meetings with senior staff in the company. The other dev in my team has more experience on paper, but the amount of work they are generating is approximately 1/5th of what I produce. I'm really disappointed that when I raised this with my manager & then HR, they have seeming done nothing about the situation. It's really disheartening and it feels as though I'm not really valued.
I don't really have much loyalty to the company, but because I have helped build their internal system from scratch I'd loathe to leave it in the incompetent hands of my colleague (who at present still has a month left of probation).
I can give any further info if you'd like it but I could really do with some advice right now.6 -
What would you do? Finished a mobile app project for a contract. Normally, I'd be off looking for another app project to work on, but the company I'm at asked me to write documents for an unrelated project. I hate writing docs, but I am billing $80/hr
Not near enough info to do much of any documentation , so waiting on answers. In the meanwhile, my email and phone are blowing up from recruiters looking for mobile app devs.
I can either work with recruiters to find a job I love or spend time muddling through creating documentation with little or no info.
What would you do? Collect a paycheck for shit you hate doing? Or just spend the time looking for something you do like to do? -
How come so many dev teams are working with blindfolds on?
We have two projects that communicate using endpoints. One of them throws a parsing error with some data. Cool, just give the calling project some debug references and attach a debugger right?
Apparently not. I haven't figured out why we can't do that, it seems like the project only works using nuget references so we never get any debug info for the other project.
Asked around how we usually solve issues like this. The answer: "idk the codegen always works, so we never solve issues like this".
What.
It "always works". Except now it doesn't. And you've never tried debugging it? Instead just working with blindfolds on trying random shit until it does?
This is far from the first time I've heard this on a team. That and "we don't need error codes, if something goes wrong we have to fix it either way". I'm losing faith in the dev world... -
It often feels like the logic and the equivalent final application code have nothing to do with each other.
Logic: Find the only element in this list that matches criterion, or the first element in this other list, or none. If the first list has multiple matches, fail.
Application: Produce information about the criterion checks for all elements in both lists for info logging. Find any elements in first list that match. Save the number of matches for an optimization that relies on a lot of assumptions about the search criterion that are only ever expressed in doc text. If one, return, if multiple, fail. Otherwise find first match in second list, produce debug hint on why the preceding elements in that list didn't match by aggregating the criterion check info. If multiple matched in second list, check highly specific interdependency, and if absent, produce warning about ambiguity. Return first match if any.
The first can be beautifully expressed as a 5 line iterator transform. The second takes 3 mutable arguments (cache, logger, criterion because it also may cache and log), must compute everything eagerly and has constraints that are neither strictly necessary for a correct implementation nor expressible in the type system.1 -

Starting my first small c++ project with website interaction on an Ubuntu server as practice for next semester. Any good recommendations to get user input from a webpage using only c++ (there can be html within the c++ program of course) and libraries?
I have once worked with an httpd-deamon and got user info from the url but I want a user to be able to fill in 2 textboxes and submit them using a button.
Plain text is good enough and it will only be used by 2 people once every week or so.8 -

Switched to non-google for every device I own, however:
When I accidently go to Google and try to search, it tells me that I am blocked for suspicious activity and need to solve a captcha - If I do, the current search works.. Shortly after tho, it gives me the same thing again.
Any idea how to get more detailed info about the issue, e.g. Ensure none of my systems is quietly participating in a botnet?
PS: why should I care? Just don't use Google! That's right, yes, it still bugs me tho7 -

So I’ve been wanting to build my own web apps for a while now, but I can’t seem to find any info on the legal stuff that goes into that. I know at minimum I’ll need a privacy policy.
Like do I need a lawyer to get everything set up? I’m not talking about creating a startup. Just web apps that people can use, e.g. a casual budget app or content aggregator. Just looking for a side hustle for a little extra cash and some experience.
What about compliance with the tech I use? If I setup a freemium app, am I out of compliance with open source tech I’m using? Anyway sorry for the long post 😅3 -

Once upon a time I worked for a startup in school as one of two developers.
I learned many technologies in this role. I built massive front end systems, debugged back end systems. They even gave me a little section on their site that was all about me and giving me credit for me work. The only actual employee was the "CEO, owner, and designer". A team of three in total.
Inevitably the company went under but the site remains. A skeleton of a dead dream. The CEO took my name and info off their website and took credit for all the work I put months into. I was never paid, never giving any recognition whatsoever for the work I did.
I'm not looking for an award or anything like that, but like bro?!?? I built your companies interface for free and you throw me out like trash.

First, a little bit of background info: I'm currently studying a programming course (Where I was *supposed* to get to choose language myself, but was forced to do it all in C++ which I had no prior knowledge of, but that's a rant post of its own.) and the final exam is coming up. I'm allowed to bring with me a book on C++ for this, so my question was if there are any good recommendations?
Primarily I'd prefer something that is as close to a physical copy of documentation stuff as possible, since that's what I'm going to need the most.
The books I've been looking at so far (and that look the most promising) are "The C++ Standard Library" by Nicolai M. Josuttis (ISBN: 978-0321623218) and "The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup (ISBN: 978-0321958327). Thoughts and/or opinions? :/question school related teacher doesn't know programming cpp this course is a joke btw why is this common9 -
HIRE THE BEST BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT; TRACK AND RECOVER LOST CRYPTOCURRENCY WITH CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
When I first got involved in crypto, I was excited by the potential for growth, but I never imagined it would end in such a nightmare. I had found what seemed like a trustworthy investment opportunity, one that promised incredible returns with little risk. After weeks of careful research, I took the leap and sent a large sum of money to the platform. Everything appeared legitimate: a professional website , user testimonials, and even responsive customer support. But then, overnight, the platform vanished without a trace. The website was gone, and my emails went unanswered. I was left in shock, staring at an empty screen, wondering how I could have been so naive. I felt foolish, embarrassed, and completely powerless. I couldn’t believe I’d fallen for such a blatant scam. For weeks, I tried everything by contacting the platform, reporting the scam to authorities, and even reaching out to other so-called recovery services. But each attempt only deepened my frustration. I was met with either silence or more false promises. My hopes were dashed, and I began to believe I’d lost everything. The financial and emotional toll was overwhelming, and I was ready to give up, convinced there was no way back. Just when I was about to lose all hope, I came across a recovery team called Cyber Constable Intelligence. Unlike the others, they didn’t make lofty claims or promise instant results. They offered a more thoughtful, strategic approach—one that was based on careful investigation and tailored solutions. They understood exactly what I was going through, and their empathy was genuine. Cyber Constable Intelligence utilized advanced techniques and industry knowledge to track down traces of the scam. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and over time, I began to see progress. It wasn’t an easy journey, but the support and professionalism of Cyber Constable Intelligence turned my nightmare into a lesson in resilience. It gave me hope again, proving that even in the darkest times, there can be a way forward.

PROFESSIONAL BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT; USDT RECOVERY EXPERT FOR HIRE: A FULL GUIDE BY CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Hello there,
I want to share my unfortunate experience to warn others about a serious investment scam I fell victim to. I had been searching for a trustworthy platform to invest a substantial amount of money, and after some research, I decided to commit over half a million dollars to what appeared to be a legitimate opportunity. Unfortunately, what followed was nothing short of a nightmare. After making my deposit, I was unable to access my funds. My account was locked, and when I tried to reach out to customer support, I was told that I could only regain access to my account if I paid an additional fee. They claimed this would "unfreeze" my account, but it quickly became clear that this was just another scam tactic. The company refused to let me withdraw any of my funds unless I complied with their demands for more money. That’s when I realized I had been duped by a fake investment platform. I was devastated, as I had invested a significant portion of my life savings. However, I didn’t give up. A co-worker, who had experienced a similar issue with a fraudulent company, recommended Cyber Constable Intelligence to me. They had helped him recover a large part of his investment, and so I decided to give them a try. Cyber Constable Intelligence was extremely responsive and professional from the start. They took my case seriously, and their team began investigating my situation right away. I was kept in the loop throughout the process, and it was clear that they were dedicated to helping me recover my money. After several weeks of hard work, I was overjoyed to receive a notification that $215,000 had been successfully refunded to my account. While I didn’t get all of my money back, the refund I received was a huge relief. Cyber Constable Intelligence’s thorough approach and persistence made all the difference. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for their expertise and support in recovering a significant portion of my investment. For anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation, I highly recommend reaching out to a trusted recovery service like Cyber Constable Intelligence. It can be hard to trust anyone after experiencing a scam, but with the right professionals on your side, there’s hope for recovering what you’ve lost.

BEST BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT TO RECOVER LOST BITCOIN; USDT RECOVERY EXPERT VISIT CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Running Greenfield Grocers, my supermarket business, has always been my passion. I'm constantly looking for ways to grow both my business and wealth, which led me to an investment opportunity that seemed too good to pass up. A Bitcoin platform promised high returns, and after what I believed was thorough research, I decided to invest $195,000. Everything seemed legitimate at first, and I felt confident in my decision. Unfortunately, my optimism quickly turned to regret. The platform began to delay withdrawals. The excuses they gave were vague and unconvincing, but I held on, hoping the issues were temporary. However, as time passed, the platform became even less responsive, and eventually, it disappeared entirely. I was left with nothing no platform, no support, and no way to access my funds. The emotional and financial toll was immense. Losing that amount of money felt like both a personal and professional blow, leaving me questioning my judgment and feeling utterly defeated. As I struggled to accept what had happened, I spoke with a business associate who had faced a similar scam in the past. At first, I was hesitant about taking any further steps, but my associate urged me not to give up. He mentioned that the police had successfully referred him to a company called Cyber Constable Intelligence when he was in a similar situation. After hearing his positive experience, I decided to take his advice and reach out to Cyber Constable Intelligence. From the very first conversation, I knew I had made the right choice. The team at Cyber Constable Intelligence was professional, empathetic, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the entire recovery process and reassured me that they had the necessary tools and experience to recover my lost funds. Their approach gave me hope during a time when I felt hopeless. After 2 weeks of dedicated work, I received the incredible news that Cyber Constable Intelligence had successfully recovered the full $195,000 I had lost. The sense of relief was overwhelming, and I can’t describe the gratitude I felt. The team’s expertise and persistence turned a dire situation into a victory. I will forever be thankful to Cyber Constable Intelligence Without their support, I’m not sure where I’d be today. This experience has not only taught me to be more cautious but has also shown me the power of finding the right people to help when you need it most.

HIRE A CRYPTO RECOVERY SERVICE; BEST CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
As a Corporate Manager living in Ohio, I never imagined I’d be scammed, but that’s exactly what happened when I invested $6,500 into what seemed like a promising franchise opportunity. I was drawn in by their professional pitch, convincing marketing materials, and high promises of returns. I discussed it with a few friends, who were supportive of my decision, and after doing some research (or so I thought), I moved forward with the investment. Unfortunately, the excitement soon faded as I realized things weren’t adding up. Communication from the company grew increasingly sparse, and the business model I had been sold seemed more and more like a mirage. It didn’t take long for me to figure out that I had been scammed. I felt crushed—not only had I lost a significant amount of money, but I also felt like I’d let my friends down by not fully vetting the opportunity before jumping in. That’s when I decided to take action. A close friend suggested I contact Cyber Constable Intelligence, and though I was skeptical at first, I was desperate for a solution. From the moment I reached out to Cyber Constable Intelligence, I felt a sense of relief. The team was both professional and empathetic, taking the time to understand my situation. They immediately began working to trace the company, a task I had tried and failed to do on my own. Their expertise in identifying fraudulent operations was evident, and they quickly began building a case to prove the opportunity was a scam. What really set them apart was their proactive approach: they worked directly with the authorities to ensure the fraud was taken seriously. As the investigation progressed, I kept my friends in the loop. They had been concerned about my situation from the start, but seeing Cyber Constable Intelligence’s progress gave them hope as well. It wasn’t long before they were able to recover $5,000 of the $6,500 I had lost. Although I didn’t get all my money back, it was a significant recovery, and I was relieved to see that I wasn’t just another case left unresolved. I truly owe a lot to Cyber Constable Intelligence for their persistence and tireless efforts. In the end, the experience taught me a valuable lesson in due diligence and the importance of seeking help when needed. It's crucial to remain vigilant when engaging in online transactions, especially with the increasing number of scams targeting unsuspecting individuals. I speak from personal experience when I say that I fell victim to a scam on this platform not once, but twice. The first time, I thought it was an unfortunate incident, but the second time, it hit me harder. I was left feeling frustrated, helpless, and unsure about how to proceed. However, I was lucky enough to get some advice from a close friend of mine who works in a very high-profile position with the CIA. Through his recommendation, I was introduced to a recovery company that could help me get my lost funds back. This recovery company, which is known as Cyber Constable Intelligence, turned out to be my saving grace. They were incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and after providing all the necessary details about the scam and my transaction history, they assured me they could help. To my surprise, within just a few weeks, I received a full recovery of the funds that had been stolen from me. The process wasn’t easy, but the company’s team worked tirelessly, using their expertise in tracking down fraudsters and navigating the complex online financial systems to retrieve the money I feel extremely fortunate to have found this service, especially considering how many people, like myself, might not know where to turn after falling victim to an online scam. The company’s success in recovering my funds has not only been a great financial relief but also a reminder of the importance of seeking help from credible professionals in situations like these. I wanted to share my experience to raise awareness about the prevalence of online scams and to highlight that there are ways to recover lost funds if you ever find yourself in a similar situation. Although I would have loved to share the link directly to the recovery company’s website, I’m unfortunately unable to do so due to the scam company’s refusal to cooperate. However, I encourage anyone who has been scammed to look into Cyber Constable Intelligence and their services. Their team of experts is dedicated to helping victims of online fraud, and their success in assisting me gives me confidence that they can help others in similar predicaments. Remember, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Be cautious and always double-check the legitimacy of online platforms before making any financial commitments. And if you ever find yourself in a situation where you’ve been scammed, don’t lose hope—recovery is possible.

It felt like fate when I first encountered the automated trading system that promised to transform small investments into substantial wealth over time. The marketing was aggressive, bombarding my social media feeds with images of people lounging on exotic beaches, driving fancy cars, and celebrating their newfound financial freedom. WhatsApp info:+12723328343 As a recent college graduate struggling to make ends meet, I was desperate for a way out of my financial rut, and the allure of easy money was too tempting to ignore. On a whim, I decided to take the plunge. I borrowed from my meager savings and even took out a small loan to fund my excitement. The rush I felt when signing up was like nothing I had ever experienced—an intoxicating thrill, like hopping onto a rollercoaster at full speed. At first, everything seemed to be going exactly as promised. My investment seemed to grow almost overnight, doubling and tripling in value.
My skepticism began to fade, replaced by a sense of confidence and hope for the future. I even shared my success with friends and family, excitedly telling them about the platform that was going to change my life. I imagined a future free from financial worries, a life of luxury and freedom, all thanks to this “revolutionary” trading system. But soon, a familiar sense of unease began to settle in. What had been an impressive surge in profits suddenly plateaued, and I found myself facing unexpected hurdles when trying to withdraw my funds. Pop-up messages about my “account needing an upgrade” and “market tightening” explained away the issues, but the discomfort grew. Still, I convinced myself that success required patience and continued to hold out hope that the system would recover. As weeks turned into months, my investment continued to dwindle. The once-promising account balance plummeted, and each attempt to reach customer support went unanswered. The promises of easy wealth had turned into an unsettling nightmare. Email info: Adwarerecoveryspecialist@auctioneer. net Desperate for answers, I began scouring the internet for any information or advice. That’s when I stumbled across reviews of ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST , a service that seemed to specialize in helping people like me recover lost funds from fraudulent platforms. I felt a glimmer of hope as I read about others who had managed to retrieve their investments with the help of ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Perhaps, after all, there was still a way out of this mess. I reached out to their team, and to my relief, they were able to assist me in recovering a portion of the money I thought I had lost for good. ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST gave me the guidance and support I needed to navigate this complicated process, helping me regain control of a situation that had seemed hopeless. Their professionalism and expertise allowed me to salvage what I could, and for that, I am incredibly grateful.

My name is Alan Criner, and I'm a resident of Toronto, CA. I'm a 45-year-old financial analyst who has always been cautious with my investments. However, in my quest to diversify my portfolio, I fell prey to a devastating fake crypto investment scam, losing 125,000 Canadian dollars' worth of Bitcoin. This traumatic experience sent my life into a downward spiral, leaving me depressed and feeling hopeless.
Despite my repeated attempts to contact the account manager who initially approached me on Telegram, I was met with silence. They refused to provide any explanation or information, and I was locked out of my account on their website. The authorities were unable to assist me, as the scammers were untraceable.
Just when I thought all was lost, my nephew, a Canadian government lawyer, introduced me to Morphohack Cyber Service, a reputable private investigator and crypto recovery company. I visited their website (www . morphohackcyber . com) and, after mustering the courage, contacted them. They listened attentively as I recounted my ordeal and educated me on the scam, revealing that numerous others had fallen victim to the same scheme.
Although skeptical at first, I decided to take a chance. Morphohack guided me through the process, instructing me to set up a new wallet. To my astonishment, they successfully recovered my stolen Bitcoin and transferred it to my new wallet. I was stunned, struggling to comprehend how this was possible.
I initially wanted to keep this experience private, but I realized that there may be others out there who have suffered similar losses. If you're a victim of crypto theft, I urge you to reach out to Morphohack Cyber Service. They can be contacted through their website or email. (Morphohack@cyberservices . com, Info@morphohackcyber . com) Don't give up hope, there is a way to recover your stolen crypto assets.1 -

Mark Zuckerberg. That’s the name I was introduced to when I first encountered the cryptocurrency mining platform, WHATS Invest. A person claiming to be Zuckerberg himself reached out to me, saying that he was personally backing the platform to help investors like me earn passive income. At first, I was skeptical—after all, how often do you get a direct connection to one of the world’s most famous tech entrepreneurs? But this individual seemed convincing and assured me that many people were already seeing substantial returns on their investments. He promised me a great opportunity to secure my financial future, so I decided to take the plunge and invest $10,000 into WHATS Invest. They told me that I could expect to see significant returns in just a few months, with payouts of at least $1,500 or more each month. I was excited, believing this would be my way out of financial struggles. However, as time passed, things didn’t go according to plan. Months went by, and I received very little communication. When I finally did receive a payout, it was nowhere near the $1,500 I was promised. Instead, I received just $200, barely 13% of what I had expected. Frustrated, I contacted the support team, but the responses were vague and unhelpful. No clear answers or solutions were offered, and my trust in the platform quickly started to erode. It became painfully clear that I wasn’t going to get anywhere with WHATS Invest, and I began to worry that my $10,000 might be lost for good. That's when I discovered Certified Recovery Services. Desperate to recover my funds, I decided to reach out to them for help. In just 24 hours, they worked tirelessly to recover the majority of my funds, successfully retrieving $8,500 85% of my initial investment. I couldn’t believe how quickly and efficiently they worked to get my money back. I’m extremely grateful for Certified Recovery Servicer's fast and professional service. Without them, I would have been left with a significant loss, and I would have had no idea how to move forward. My name is Amber Jones, and I'm a physician based in London. For years, I worked hard, earning a decent salary of £13,400 a month. But with a child to care for, I wanted to secure my financial future and grow my savings. I began exploring investment opportunities, hoping to build a safety net for my family. That’s when I met someone online who seemed genuine and trustworthy. He spoke passionately about financial freedom, self-employment, and the potential of cryptocurrency. His words felt convincing, and his promises of quick profits with minimal risk made me feel comfortable enough to trust him. Over time, this person encouraged me to invest in Bitcoin, recommending a specific trading platform he claimed was reliable. I was hesitant at first, but his confidence and assurances swayed me. I invested everything I had saved, £165,992 in Bitcoin, believing it would be a secure and profitable decision. For a while, everything seemed fine. I watched the platform, and things appeared to be going well. But soon, things began to unravel. The returns I was promised never materialized, and I found myself locked out of my account. As time went on, I realized I had been scammed. The person I had trusted had manipulated me with sweet promises, and I had lost everything. Devastated, I turned to various recovery services, hoping to get my money back. But each service I contacted only led me deeper into more scams. I felt helpless, isolated, and completely betrayed. I was convinced I would never see my hard-earned savings again, and I almost gave up on the idea of recovering my funds. Then, one day, while searching for music on YouTube to calm my mind, I came across a video about Cyber Constable Intelligence. The video explained how they had successfully helped people recover money lost to scams. I was still skeptical, but I decided to check the comments for any real-life experiences. To my surprise, many people shared how Cyber Constable Intelligence had helped them recover their lost funds. That gave me a glimmer of hope, and I decided to reach out to them. Cyber Constable Intelligence was professional and responsive. They guided me through every step of the recovery process, offering support and transparency. While I’m still in the process of recovering my funds, I can honestly say that Cyber Constable Intelligence has been a real help during this difficult time. The flexibility of online tutoring allows me to connect with students from all over the world, making the job both dynamic and personally gratifying. Email info: Adwarerecoveryspecialist@auctioneer. net This desire led me to invest in an opportunity I thought was legitimate, but unfortunately, I was deceived by an online investment scam. The brokers I worked with promised significant returns and convinced me to invest more and more money, eventually totaling over $179,000. Despite my attempts to contact the brokers and customer service, my calls and emails went unanswered. All my money had vanished, and I was left feeling devastated and helpless. RECOVER YOUR STOLEN USDT AND ETH WITH SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL FOR INSTANT RECOVERY
Exceptional Support and Guidance from Spartan Tech Group Retrieval: A Lifesaver in Cryptocurrency Trouble . I recently had a complex issue while transferring my cryptocurrency through the Ethereum network to my Trust Wallet, which defaulted to the BNB Smart Chain. Due to the new beta version of Trust Wallet, called the "Swift Wallet," there was no option for the Ethereum network, causing my crypto to become effectively frozen. I could only see the transaction on Ether scan, but without a way to access my funds.Unfortunately, I was informed that it might take months, or even years, for Trust Wallet to integrate Ethereum support into this beta version, leaving me in limbo. To make matters worse, the Swift Wallet does not use a traditional private key; instead, it relies on my device as the key. This means that if my device were lost or damaged, I would permanently lose access to my funds, as Trust Wallet does not provide a backup key. After struggling with this issue, I reached out to Spartan Tech Group Retrieval on WhatsApp:+1 (971) 4 8 7 - 3 5 3 8 . They were incredibly helpful and dedicated to explaining the intricacies of my situation. They kept their promise of no upfront fees and only asked me to write a review in return for their assistance. Their transparency and professionalism were evident throughout the process. Spartan Tech Group Retrieval provided not only insights into my immediate issue but also offered valuable advice on alternative exchanges, wallets, and cold storage options. They were attentive to my safety, ensuring that my sensitive information and passwords were never exposed. Their straightforward approach made the process feel trustworthy, which is crucial in the often-confusing world of cryptocurrency. I can recommend Spartan Tech Group Retrieval highly enough. Thankfully, my uncle suggested I reach out to an expert in cryptocurrency recovery. After doing some research online, I came across Cyber Constable Intelligence. I was hesitant at first, but their positive reviews gave me some hope. I decided to contact them directly and explained my situation, including the amount I had lost and how the scammers had gained access to my account. How Adware Recovery Specialist Helped Me Recover $10,000 from a Forex Trading Scam
For the past three years, I’ve immersed myself in the world of Forex trading—learning new strategies, refining my skills, and seeking every opportunity to grow. One such opportunity was an online Forex trading contest that initially seemed like a golden ticket to success. The contest was promoted by a company that appeared reputable; the website was professionally designed, and the contest rules were clear, which made it all seem legitimate.
Intrigued by the promise of a large cash reward, I decided to participate. The registration fee was set at $1,000—a price that seemed acceptable considering the potential return. I eagerly paid the fee and received an email confirming that I had advanced to the next stage of the contest. However, the excitement quickly turned to apprehension when I was informed that I needed to pay an additional $2,000 for shipping costs related to the prize package.
At that moment, I had already invested $3,000 in what I believed was my path to a substantial prize. Trusting the process, I paid the shipping fee, assuming it was a necessary step toward securing my reward. But after that payment, the promised prize never arrived, and the communication from the organizers went silent. WhatsApp info:+12 (72332)—8343
Realizing something was wrong, I began to research the contest and the company behind it. To my dismay, I found numerous reports from other participants who had fallen victim to the same scheme, each losing significant sums of money. In total, I discovered I had lost $10,000—$1,000 for registration and an additional $9,000 over time in shipping fees. It was clear that I had been scammed. Using advanced tracking techniques and digital forensics, they traced the scam’s trail, identified the fraudulent transactions, and ultimately managed to recover my stolen funds.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, I was able to have my $10,000 returned. This experience was a harsh reminder of the importance of doing thorough research before engaging in any online contests or financial commitments. It taught me to be cautious, to question offers that seem too good to be true, and to always verify the legitimacy of any online opportunity. I share my story in hopes that it serves as a cautionary tale for others in the Forex trading community. While I was fortunate to recover my funds with the help of ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, not everyone is so lucky. HOW TO RECOVER LOST OR STOLEN BITCOIN, SAFE RECOVERY FOR LOST CRYPTOCURRENCY HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out from New York to share a personal ordeal that I hope will help others avoid the mistakes we made. My husband and I have always been careful with our investments, and for years, we’ve successfully run a joint business. A few months ago, we decided to explore cryptocurrency, thinking it would be a good way to diversify our portfolio. After some research, we came across a platform that seemed legitimate, with positive reviews and promising returns. Excited by the potential, we decided to invest a significant amount, $186,000, in Bitcoin. Initially, everything seemed fine. We even saw some returns, which encouraged us to invest even more. It felt like a smart decision, and we were optimistic about our future with cryptocurrency. But soon, things took a troubling turn. The platform began requesting additional payments in order to unlock more funds or release the profits we had supposedly earned. At first, these demands seemed reasonable, but they quickly escalated. We were promised that by paying these fees, we would be able to access our funds, but each time we tried to withdraw, we faced delays or outright denials. Eventually, we realized that we were caught in a scam. Our entire investment had vanished, and we were left feeling devastated and helpless. We tried contacting customer support, but it was clear that they were just stringing us along. With no idea where to turn, we felt completely trapped and frustrated. That's when I came across a post about Cyber Constable Intelligence, a company that specializes in recovering lost or stolen funds, including those from fraudulent cryptocurrency platforms. After reading several positive reviews and seeing how they had helped others in similar situations, I decided to reach out. I provided all the necessary information about our case, hoping for the best. To our amazement, within just 48 hours, Cyber Constable Intelligence successfully recovered our full $186,000. The professionalism and efficiency of their team were astounding. We couldn’t believe how quickly they were able to help us, and we were incredibly relieved to have our money back. We are sharing this experience to warn others about the dangers of scams and to recommend Cyber Constable Intelligence. If you’ve been defrauded by a fake cryptocurrency platform or any other type of fraud, we highly recommend contacting them. Their team is reliable, professional, and committed to helping people recover their lost funds. Please, be cautious with your investments and know that Cyber Constable Intelligence will help you if you need it.

BEST CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT; BITCOIN AND ETH RECOVERY EXPERT FOR HIRE; VISIT CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
After coming back from my aunt's wedding late at night, I encountered a troubling situation. I had transferred 6,000 USDC from one of my accounts to a trading platform. The transaction was confirmed on the blockchain, and I could clearly see that the funds had been successfully processed. However, despite this confirmation, my balance on the trading portal remained unchanged. This discrepancy immediately raised red flags, and I began to question whether the platform was legitimate or if I had fallen victim to a scam. To make matters worse, the platform’s customer support was virtually non-existent. I attempted multiple inquiries, but my efforts to get in touch with someone from their support team were met with silence. This lack of communication only intensified my frustration and anxiety, as I couldn’t get any answers about the status of my funds or the reasons behind the delay in reflecting the balance. It was at this point that I realized I needed to take immediate action. After researching various options, I came across a recovery agency called Cyber Constable Intelligence. This team specializes in helping individuals recover funds lost in online scams, fraudulent transactions, and other similar situations. Initially, I was skeptical, as I had never dealt with recovery services before. However, their professional approach and track record gave me some reassurance. I reached out to Cyber Constable Intelligence, and they promptly began working on my case. They provided me with clear instructions on how to proceed and assured me that they had the expertise and resources to help recover my funds. Within a matter of days, I received confirmation that my 6,000 USDC had been successfully returned to my wallet. The relief I felt was indescribable, as I had nearly resigned myself to losing the funds due to the platform’s lack of transparency and support. If you find yourself in a similar situation, where a platform is withholding funds or if you're unsure about the legitimacy of a transaction, I strongly recommend seeking professional help. Cyber Constable Intelligence proved to be an invaluable resource, and I am grateful for their timely intervention. Their team has extensive experience in dealing with complex online financial issues, and their guidance was instrumental in helping me regain my money. Always be vigilant when interacting with online platforms, particularly if customer support is unhelpful. And if issues arise, don't hesitate to contact Cyber Constable Intelligence. Crypto Scam Recovery Company; How To Recover Lost Bitcoin If It's Stolen| Hire CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
An "investment mentor" promised to teach me flash loan arbitrage strategies, which sounded intriguing and potentially profitable. Eager to learn, I followed their instructions and connected my wallet to what I believed was a legitimate crypto dashboard. The interface looked professional and convincing, mimicking real platforms I had seen before. However, I was completely unaware that this was a fake site designed to deceive unsuspecting users like me. By connecting my wallet to this fraudulent dashboard, I inadvertently granted unlimited spending approval. This was a critical mistake that would cost me dearly. In a matter of seconds, the scammer executed a malicious contract that drained my wallet of $110,000. I was left in shock, realizing that I had fallen victim to a well-orchestrated scam. I sought help from Cyber Constable Intelligence, a team of smart contract auditors who specialize in investigating such attacks. They meticulously dissected the incident and discovered that the scammer had exploited wallet permissions rather than any flaw in the protocol itself. This revelation was both enlightening and alarming, as it highlighted the importance of understanding how wallet permissions work. The recovery auditors at Cyber Constable Intelligence tracked the stolen funds through multiple mixer services, which are often used to obscure the origins of illicitly obtained cryptocurrency. Their investigation led them to an exchange where some of the stolen funds had landed. However, they identified a critical lapse in the exchange's processes, which allowed the scammer to operate without being detected. After five days of relentless legal pressure and negotiations, I was relieved to learn that $87,000 of my lost funds had been recovered. This experience has fundamentally changed my approach to cryptocurrency. I now prioritize security and due diligence above all else. I’ve become an advocate for educating others about the risks in the crypto space, sharing my story to help prevent similar scams. I regularly participate in online forums and discussions, emphasizing the importance of verifying platforms and understanding wallet permissions, and if fallen victim Cyber Constable Intelligence are ready to assist.

Hey guys, any WPF developers here?
I'm having lotsa trouble getting WPF XAML data bindings to work. Disclaimer - I'm new to OOP and thhe syntax of OOP is so damn confusing I'm never sure anything is the "right" way.
The task is to create test data for certain classes and output it in WPF. The code I have is a public static class that generates test data for certain classes and stores these objects inside a static List<Object> depending on the object. I couldn't figure out any other way to store all these objects to later be able to output them.
Then I found out that you can use ObservableCollection to automate a lot of the CRUD stuff. So I tried to change the Lists to static ObservableCollections. It mostly works and I even got it to output the data in XAML by using DataGrid.ItemsSource = TestDataCreationClass.authors in the MainWindow.xaml.cs. However, I can not for the life of me figure out how to do the bind through XAML only using the ItemsSource property. No matter what I do, it cannot find the Collection.
I googled for quite a while and every example seems completely different from mine so I'm at a loss.
If you need any more info or code snippets I'd be glad to provide them.
Any kind of help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!1 -

LEGITIMATE CRYPTO RECOVERY EXPERT IN USA; CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE STANDS ABOVE THE REST
Flying a Boeing 787? Piece of cake. Decrypting a malfunctioning Trevor wallet? That's nosediving into chaos. I have done emergency landings, handled unpredictable weather, and passengers that think they can open the emergency exit during flight. But nothing, not even years of aviation training, prepared me for the moment my cold storage wallet refused to recognize my PIN. I knew I was punching in what was correct, but Trevor stared back at me like I was an imposter in my own cockpit.
At first, I thought it was a simple mistake. Perhaps fat fingers? A misremembered digit? But after several attempts, I realized something was seriously wrong. The more I tried, the more the wallet locked me out, and it dawned on me harder than a rogue crosswind: My $750,000 worth of Bitcoin was slipping through my fingers.
I did what any reasonable person would do in such a situation-panicked. Then came the hours of browsing through forums, watching tutorials, and trying every trick in the book. One suggested freezing my device, another insisted on some arcana firmware rollback method. Nothing worked. At this point, I had all but thrown myself at the mercy of the fates.
Long-haul flight, cruising at 36,000 feet- that is where I happened upon Cyber Constable Intelligence. I was skeptical, but desperation makes you reconsider everything: after all, if the device manufacturer couldn't help me out, how on earth could these guys? The moment I landed, I called them.
From the first conversation I had with them, I knew I had chosen rightly. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring in explaining the forensic recovery process-how it all works in a no-nonsense explanation with no vague tech jargon or false promises.
Within just five days, they had bypassed the PIN problem, restored my Bitcoin, and pointed out safety recommendations to make sure I would never find myself in this kind of situation again. Their work was faultless-a perfect landing.
I can fly through turbulence, respond to in-flight emergencies, and cross the world without breaking a sweat. But when it comes to rescuing locked Bitcoin from a malfunctioning cold storage wallet? That's a job for Cyber Constable Intelligence. If your crypto is in freefall, don't reach for the eject button-call them, and they'll get you flying again.-.

My association with Astute Capital began when my aunt, a discerning investor with a remarkable track record, introduced me to the platform. I'm grateful for assistance in recovering $37,000 that I lost to crooks in Bitcoin—that's really challenging. Although I'm happy to hear that Supreme Peregrine Recovery was helpful, please use cautious. Sincere fund recovery is uncommon and frequently taken advantage of by con artists masquerading as "assistants." Verify the company's legitimacy, avoid paying in whole, and get confirmation of the recovery from law enforcement or a cryptocurrency specialist. Fake recovery services retarget a lot of victims. On Thanksgiving Day, I fell victim to a sophisticated forex trading scam that initially promised significant returns but ultimately left me unable to access my funds. It all began when I was contacted by an admin from a Telegram group with 300 members, where participants were discussing forex trading strategies and sharing success stories about profiting from signals provided by the group's leaders. Intrigued by their claims of high returns and the seeming transparency of the group, I decided to join. The scammers introduced me to a 45-day investment cycle, assuring me that at the end of the period, I would be able to withdraw my initial investment along with any profits. Trusting their process, I transferred $48,000 in several wire transfers. My account quickly grew, and within a short time, my balance had ballooned to $500,000. Everything seemed to be going as promised, but that’s when things took a turn. When I attempted to withdraw my profits, I was told that I couldn’t access my funds until I paid a supposed “tax” on my earnings. This tax requirement had never been mentioned when I first joined or invested. When I questioned the legitimacy of this fee, I received evasive answers and delays. It became apparent that the scammers were stalling, hoping to trap me into paying additional fees. Despite my repeated attempts to contact them, the group vanished, leaving me with no way to reach anyone. It was clear that I had been scammed. After further research, I discovered that many others had fallen victim to the same fraudulent group, which had used fake trading signals and false promises of high returns to lure in unsuspecting investors. Fortunately, I was able to recover my funds after seeking help from Rapid Digital Recovery. Their team worked tirelessly to track down the scammers and navigate the complex process of recovering my money. While the experience was long and stressful, I am grateful to have regained my investment. This ordeal serves as a harsh reminder of the importance of caution when dealing with online investment schemes, particularly those that promise unrealistic returns.

Two weeks ago, I became an unfortunate victim of a cryptocurrency scam that left me both shocked and devastated. It all began when a Facebook imposter approached me, posing as a representative of a legitimate cryptocurrency organization. They promised substantial returns on investments, claiming to assist traders in making lucrative decisions. Trusting their convincing pitch, I invested $160,000—money I had worked incredibly hard to earn. Initially, everything seemed promising, and I felt excited about the potential gains. However, as days passed without any updates and my attempts to contact them went unanswered, the reality of the situation began to sink in. It was a classic phishing scam, and I was caught in its web. The realization that I had been duped was painful. RAPID DIGITAL RECOVERY: PIONEERING BITCOIN RESTORATION SOLUTIONS
I was horrified when I lost my 45,000 ETH for the first time. It accounted for a sizeable amount of my savings, which I had built up over years of cautious investing and faith in the cryptocurrency industry. It was a sophisticated hack, not a bad trade or market meltdown, that caused the loss. I felt completely powerless after the money was taken directly out of my wallet. I initially turned to multiple recovery services in the hope of recovering my stolen assets. However, after months of dealing with fraudulent services and ineffective solutions, I was on the verge of writing off my entire investment. Many services seemed like nothing more than scams, preying on vulnerable individuals like myself. They promised miracles but left me with empty assurances and no results. I was about to give up when a buddy suggested Rapid Digital Recovery, a brand I had never heard of. I was first dubious because I had previously been burned and didn't want to put my trust in another provider. However, Rapid Digital Recovery felt different in some way. They took a professional approach, spoke openly, and sincerely wanted to provide a workable answer. From the very first consultation, I was impressed by their level of expertise. They took the time to explain how they worked, the tools they used to trace stolen funds, and the process they followed to attempt to recover assets. They didn’t promise a quick fix but reassured me that they had successfully assisted others in similar situations. They walked me through each step of the process and kept me updated at every stage. Over the next several weeks, I saw the results of their hard work. Rapid Digital Recovery employed advanced techniques to track the stolen ETH across various blockchain networks and worked tirelessly with law enforcement and crypto exchanges to trace its movements. Their team showed a level of dedication and professionalism that I hadn’t seen from any other recovery service. I’m happy to say that, after months of intense work, Rapid Digital Recovery was able to recover the majority of my stolen ETH—around 42,000 ETH, which was an incredible relief. While not every cent was returned, the recovery rate far exceeded my expectations, and I felt like I had regained control over my financial future. What stood out the most about my experience with Rapid Digital Recovery was their transparency and integrity throughout the process. Unlike many other services, they never made unrealistic promises or pressured me into paying exorbitant fees upfront. They were clear about what was achievable and kept me informed every step of the way. If you find yourself in a similar situation—dealing with the devastating loss of crypto assets due to theft or fraud—I highly recommend Rapid Digital Recovery. Their expertise, dedication, and ethical approach to recovery make them stand out in an industry plagued with unreliable services. I can confidently say that without them, I would have likely lost my entire investment. Contact for more info: ....... Web site Info: https: // ra pi ddigit alrecove ry .o rg ....... Unfortunately, my enthusiasm quickly turned to despair when I discovered that the investment company I had trusted was nothing more than a sophisticated scam. Initially, everything seemed legitimate. The company was well-organized, their website looked professional, and the brokers were persuasive. I invested a significant amount—AUD 45,000 in Bitcoin—believing it was a wise decision. I was confident that my investment would yield substantial returns. However, things began to unravel when I requested a withdrawal of my profits. At first, everything seemed normal. I filled out the necessary forms and anticipated receiving my returns. I refused to pay any more money, standing firm on my decision not to send another dime until I received my initial investment and profits. No matter how much i think i am sorted out regarding my career, one small shit happens and i am again confused.
I previously interned for 2 months in a company as an Android dev(it was a 4 month internship, but i got it reduced to 2 because of my college exams)
It was a nice ad based company. Their main focus was on their web products and had no Android product or team( they just had a thought for expanding in Android) . So clearly i was their first recruit/intern
I worked their, all alone, at my pace, without any external help. It was a picnic for me as nobody bossed me around or gave me deadlines as nobody knew my work, and i got paid. They would just wait me to report my daily work, i would write my stuff honestly, but i know they understood jack shit
I was told that once the alpha product is liked by the investors we will recruit a team, but i made the product in 1st month and never got info about any recruitment going on. I was just told to fix the bugs and work more on it.
When my internship ended , i was already bored out getting stuck at a place without any senior help . Plus they damaged relations with me on other reasons( halted my stipend for last month for 60 days, that's another rant, but it was mostly the stupidity of hr dept)
So now i started applying for other companies. My original company called me afterwards but i made an excuse to be out of state and talk after new year(it was honest)
Other companies are now showing interest with a lower pay , but now am feeling like a stupid person going from a decent pay and comfortable environment to a lesser pay but aggressive environment .
Should i contact my original company again? I feel guilty leaving them this way, but to be fair i was wasting my time there (quite literally, i was making my assignments and writing blogs there when stuck)3 -
Living in Dubai, I was drawn to the city’s vibrant financial landscape and the promise of lucrative investment opportunities. However, my experience with one commission-based firm turned into a nightmare. I invested $160,000, hoping to see strong returns, but soon found myself unable to withdraw any of my funds. The firm kept advising me to invest more in order to "finish the agreements," and each time I followed their advice, the situation only got worse. It felt like an endless cycle of pressure to keep adding money, with no way to access what was rightfully mine. Frustrated and feeling trapped, I started looking for a solution online. That’s when I came across a review about CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN, a service that seemed to help people in situations like mine. At first, I was doubtful. How could someone really recover my money from a firm that seemed so intent on holding it? But after reading numerous positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I received a prompt response and was reassured that they could help. The team outlined a clear process, and while I was still cautious, I felt a small sense of hope. To my astonishment, just two days later, I was notified that my $160,000 had been successfully returned to my wallet. At first, I couldn’t believe it. I checked my account several times, and each time, the money was there. I was overjoyed and incredibly relieved. What seemed like a miracle had actually become a reality. Uncovering your wife's phone secrets through the skills of a adware-like ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST is a delicate and potentially unethical endeavor that should be approached with great caution. These so-called "sneaky ways" often involve highly sophisticated technological methods to bypass security measures and access private communications and data without the knowledge or consent of the device's owner. A skilled web recovery specialist might utilize advanced hacking techniques, exploits in mobile operating systems, or specialized surveillance software to surreptitiously monitor your wife's online activities, read her text messages and emails, track her location, and even retrieve deleted files - all while leaving little to no trace of their intrusion. However, engaging in such invasive and underhanded practices not only violates your wife's fundamental right to privacy, but can also severely damage the trust and integrity of your relationship if discovered. Rather than resorting to these underhanded tactics, it would be far wiser to have an open and honest discussion with your wife about any concerns you may have, and work together to address them through ethical, consensual means. Building a foundation of mutual understanding and respect is essential for the long-term health of any marriage. In the ever-changing world of cryptocurrency trading, the temptation of quick profits can easily lead individuals into the clutches of scams. It all began when I received a message on Telegram from an unknown user who claimed to be a broker. He presented himself as an expert, eager to help me invest my savings in cryptocurrencies and stocks that he assured me were highly profitable. I followed his guidance and set up an account on a platform he recommended. I transferred a significant amount of money to a crypto exchange called Crypto TX, initially investing $37,000 in USDT, followed by another $13,000, bringing my total investment to $50,000. The broker informed me that my trading would be activated and that I could expect returns within two weeks. To test the waters, I withdrew a portion of my investment after the trading period ended, and to my relief, the withdrawal was successful. This success led me to refer several family members back in India, all of whom also invested substantial amounts, believing they were making a sound financial decision. However, the situation quickly turned dire. After our collective investments reached nearly half a million dollars, we found ourselves unable to withdraw any further funds. The once-promising trading platform revealed itself to be a sophisticated scam, leaving us devastated and financially crippled. It was during this dark time that one of my distant cousins suggested we seek help from Cyber Constable Intelligence, a company specializing in fund recovery from scams. This idea, though unconventional, sparked a glimmer of hope. We reached out to Cyber Constable Intelligence, and their team was incredibly responsive and professional. They guided us through the recovery process with expertise and determination. To our astonishment, within a week, we began to see results. Cyber Constable Intelligence worked diligently to trace our funds and communicate with the necessary parties involved. Their commitment and skill were instrumental in bringing us back to financial stability. Thanks to Cyber Constable Intelligence, we were able to recover our investments, a feat that seemed impossible just days before. This experience taught me the critical importance of being cautious and informed in the world of online investments. While the allure of quick profits can be tempting, it is essential to remain vigilant and seek help from trusted sources like Cyber Constable Intelligence to avoid falling victim to scams.2 -

HOW TO RECLAIM MONEY LOST TO FAKE TRADING PLATFORM ONLINE - CONSULT HACKATHON TECH SOLUTIONS
Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned into concern as I began to notice some red flags. The withdrawals from my account started taking longer than expected, and the customer service responses became increasingly slow and vague. It wasn’t until I tried to withdraw a larger sum that I realized something was terribly wrong. My trade assistant, who had been so responsive before, was suddenly unavailable. When I tried to contact support, I was met with silence. My frustration mounted as I attempted to reach them through multiple channels, but the replies I did receive were generic and unhelpful. That's when I decided to dig deeper. I started researching the platform and found multiple reports from other users claiming they had been scammed in the same way. The more I read, the clearer it became that I had fallen victim to a well-organized fraud operation.
