I just made this devrant chrome extension that notifies you when a new rant is posted. Just because having the site open isn't distracting enough.

@dfox will I get in trouble for using your logo for this?

    I asked @dfox (one of the founders) for permission to use the devRant logo in my devRant extension.

    Also, isn't that your rant in my screenshot? haha

    @noda Yeeaaa, well if he does not approve then I guess I will end up taking it down. It was a good exercise to learn to create an extension.

    @ishankothari I will! If you'd like to check it out before that, I added (simple) instructions on how to install it. It's a matter of drag and drop.

    New Rant is posted every minute(if not 4/5 times in one minute). The popups will drive ppl mad!!

    Awesome! I'll add this to the webpage I'm building.

    As far as using the logo/name - that's ok, but any plugin using the word devRant should also note, preferably in the title, that it's "unofficial" to avoid confusion.

    @Raspik There is an option to only check using algo instead of recent. This way you will only get notifications if new rants reach the top.

    And only if chrome is open of course
