My bio professor has a word doc called passwords that she keeps on an unencrypted external hard drive.

She leaves the hard drive in the room with all of her other stuff when she goes for a break between classes.

    It's obviously undoubtedly unmistakably not a trap.

    Just be nice and encrypt it for her :)

    Oh by the way, I did nearly the same thing, but on my drive it was a password.doc.exe.... ;)

    Our IT teacher in highschool forgot to lock his computer when he went out for 5 mins... We found tons of porn on external drive (the old one, the one that fits into the computer case, not these new fancy ones with usb connections & quick plug n play stuff).. Anyhow since then, he never left without that drive...I wonder why..

    Ok, the real question is, how do you know about it ??

    @Baguette I pay way too much attention to everything, and I saw it scroll past when she was looking for the powerpoint for whatever chapter we were on

    @codePatrol I probably will show her a couple password managers she could use, as well as explain to her how easily I could get the passwords to perform nefarious deeds. Like change my grade to an A, or make a student I don't like fail. Or take all her credit card and banking info and buy her a new car for me.

    @Aporue-Sutol Before you encrypt the data for her, buy a new car first!

    @HumanBetaApp

    Could use my Firecoder. While you're at it, you could just .cfc her entire drive (you can encrypt binary files with my program too xD)

    Edit: In a totally non-Wannacry sort of way :D
