    i beg to differ...

landing your first job in IT is pretty easy. It's just that most people aren't hireable. Just learning to code won't get you hired. You have to play the game a little bit.

    lick their ass.

I've seen alot of experts being hired here, but with only online training or they followed a 1 day workshop. Already call themselves experts with no experience.

It took them 3 months to get used to our system and dev stack, then another 3 months to learn it.

    Yep... experts.... in licking asses

They are useless for at least 6 months. But we gave them too much freedom and can't kick them out.

All they say in daily standup is: i'm still learning this and that, and CAN NOT do this and that. So if you give me a story, it will be slow.

So tell them you are an expert in "-- please fill in --", and know everything about it!

Then say when you signed the contract and stuff: i need to get used to the stack and analyze it for a few months :)

Over the years, the idea that IT is for everyone has become widespread. It is difficult to get a job in the most popular areas. There can be 10 candidates for one position, so the employer will choose the most capable or promising one.

But personally, I noticed that now the attitude towards people without experience has improved quite a bit, in many companies it is common practice that you will be taught everything, in fact, they give you the experience and skills necessary to work in this company
