Being forced to pick up C in college after learning C++ for 2 years...

C++'s object oriented style and templates make it so different from traditional C that it basically is a completely different language (not even counting features like type inference, lambdas, etc.)
A good C programmer will in general have a very different style.

(Of course there are massive similarities, but still)
