i just report those pages because their implementation of the consent form does NOT comply to european law (which explicitly states that "declining all" must be as simple as "accepting all").
and i just accept (whenever i don't have a browser with IDontCareAboutCookies) because honestly, it doesn't matter since they don't give a fuzzy fuck and collect your data anyway. -
When will we finally get browser integration for this so that we can configure it like that:
Default for all websites: Reject everything.
Ask me for the following websites: [whitelist of websites]
The "ask me" UI should be unified and shown by the browser instead of embedded in the html.
We got this for notifications, so why not cookies as well… -

Reading up on this
It varies by EU country
Germany explicitly require that a Reject button is displayed with equal prominence to the Accept button.
But in Portual it’s not even required to have a Reject button at all

Sad 😔 I imagined/hoped the EU min requirement was to have a RejectAllButNecessary button somewhere (even if it might not need to be shown in the initial view, and could be in a Settings-view) -

Just a detail:
"an annoyingly long vendor list" is something that's often a legal requirement, you can't just omit vendors. I've built a CMP and we legally had to include a shit ton of various ad vendors.
I think the Vendor list works as a way to be transparent about how much crap is actually involved.
What reasonable sites do is just to lump all vendors into a small (like 4) amount of categories and let you reject each category (like all Ads) with 1 click.
And provide a RejectAllButNecessary-button of course.
Ghostery just leaked all of their users email addresses in their GDPR compliance email.

The most annoying popup I hope to not see clicking on a link.
Other cookie [de]selectors seem to have proper "reject all" mechanism. This one not only doesn't have that, it also always has an annoyingly long vendor list.
Also, if I unselect cookies, my choice is only saved for several days. After a week or two it tends to expire and the clickfest starts again
They prolly hope to overwhelm me with the number of clicks required to unselect them all. Well joke's on them, it's a matter of principle. I know where I'll spend the next 15minutes of my life now...
