Ok then!
Time to install Arch Linux on my MacBook Pro...
Coz why not... I wanna try it and see how it runs on this machine 😌😌

Plus... Customization ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think I can get back to Mac OS right? Just need the USB of Mac? 🤔

Why not boot in VM? macbook has an ssd and ram you wont be facing performance issues

@gitpush umm... I’d say it is not satisfying... I do that right now 😅😅
  • 7
@Electrux why man? you wont notice anything plus you eliminate the risk of having to send it to repair in case shit happens.
For me I do VMs on my laptop (ubuntu vm) because I can't risk messing up windows even though lots were able to do it with no issues but some did have, and I don't want to be one of them

@gitpush hmm... ok now m having second thoughts... 😭😭
    M so confused...
U r right though... but I can’t stand duality in OSes... m more of a...
Either this OS or that OS 😅😅😂😂
But now I gotta think 😨😅

@Electrux a VM in full screen is the same as originally booting it from HDD
when I open an ssh I make terminal full screen and it feels like I'm booting linux server and using it on my mac :P
  • 2
@gitpush but... but... aww crap!! M gonna spend the next few hours trying to decide what to do...
    RIP me 😂😂😂😂😂

@Electrux TRY IT FIRST ON A VM, don't make me angry, I already hate you :P all gits hate you :3

Seriously now, always try on a vm, see if it solves your problem or you are truly facing issues, I never faced an issue with a linux vm but for sure faced shit load of issues on Windows VMs

@gitpush like I said I AM ALREADY USING IT ON A VM!!! 😂😂😂
    It’s not fun...
Please don’t hate me git gods 😭😭
    What wud I do without u 😨😨😱😱
  • 3
@Electrux just keep the vm and we will not hate you anymore. else @gitoutofhere !

Macs do come with a standard repair partition iirc but if I remember it's pain in the arse
  • 1
@daarkfall u mean I can’t put Mac OS again from my usb if I wanna come back to Mac? 😨😨

    @ThatDude
    Nop... never 😨😨😂😂
  • 3
@irene see what @ThatDude is saying, what do you think I should do :p
  • 3
DO IT JUT DO IT DOOO IT 😏

Tag me when you've done that
  • 3
@irene ur his friend but not me 😛
  • 3
    @irene I feel sorry for @thatdude 😞
  • 2
@Electrux na the recovery partition is on your disk so as long as you dual boot you should be fine, just don't totally format your disk
  • 1
    @daarkfall What! 😨😨
Recovery partition houses the bootloader in Mac?
  • 1
@daarkfall and I have always formatted my disk fully when reinstalling Mac OS 🤔
  • 2
@Electrux I think so not overly sure tbh never tried anything but dual boot on mine
  • 2
Just delete all partitions... DO IT
  • 1
@ImNotAlfred yea m not doing that without knowing if I have the choice to go back to Mac OS 😂😂
  • 2
Seriously tho I don't know how difficult it is with apples !opensouce-ecosystem but the first time I dualbooted arch with Windows it took me a few tries with the bootloader but it's more sturdy than you think, as long as you don't format it. I know how you feel: scared to ruin your PC but like I said just don't format boot and you'll be good.

    p.s : always make backups!!!
  • 1
@ImNotAlfred what do u mean by not format boot? When I format my laptop, I wipe everything... I go to terminal and use the diskutil command to destroy the entire drive 😕

    DO IT!!
    vm sucks.

But there should be Bootcamp or something for dual boot.
Anyways why would you go back? Arch-love forever 😍
