    I saw that too, but there are probably a lot of extra parts in there that you will never use unless you are a complete newbie to the Pi and Arduino. Other options that still would be cheaper include getting just the Pi (about $40) or even going with a Pi Zero ($5) depending on the project you want to build.

    @siliconghost fair points. I am totally new to Pi. So, I wanted a bundle when I got my first, especially with no specific project in mind. And this was the best deal I've seen on a bundle like this. Felt like the time to finally take the leap.

    @chewbacca do it then. It's not a bad deal. Saves you the trouble from having to order a case, power supply, SD card, etc. I would also recommend thinking of a use first which will help determine if you need a Pi or Arduino.

    I'm building a Amazon echo clone now using Pi Zero. Also making it hands free (which it is not supposed to be). That is a perfect use for Pi. If you want to check temps, weather, or do basic IoT with sensors, Arduino is perfect and cheaper

    @siliconghost yeah, the first Pi projects to ever catch my eye were smart home implements (smart mirrors, things like that). That might be where I start, but there are a lot of things out there. I guess I'm in the research phase now. 😆

    @chewbacca the smart mirrors are very cool and a great place to start because the code is widely available for free. Go for it!
