Which is the secret rule that you've learned in your (dev) life?
My favourite one is "it works? Don't touch it."

Kiss and do one thing, well.

* Think twice, code once.
* Don't Design to Code, just Code the Design.

One of my favourites is the one you posted “Does it work? If yes, don’t touch it.” But the other one I learnt is to make a function for one purpose only, unlike before I started focusing on doing this properly I had a function doing like 10 things.... yea.
