BenAfonso927y@404response the first month was the hardest for me! I've been using it for a year now and I love it !
-
Im using vs code without mouse as well.
But im trying to use vim more and more. I replaced the default notepad of windows for VIM. -
pmike3957yWait until you start searching for "vim mode" on other editors... Then you know there's no comming back xD
-
BenAfonso927yThe only one I found relevant was the vs code's one. Absolutely hate the others ! And even with vim mode vs code, people frustration when they try my laptop is real

BenAfonso927y@pmike Already done! After one year of experimentation, I found the perfect balance to sustain my lazyness.
-
BenAfonso927y"Making more by doing less" just depends on which side! I tend to prefer the "doing less" for the same amount of results ahah
-
BenAfonso927y@azous already done for caps lock but I will give Dvorak a try, this viking sound seems cool !
-
hell165967yHahaha yeah!
I started using it one year ago i guess, at the beginning you just wanna fucking punch the keyboard and scream like a little kid.
What I did was change everything to Dvorak, even my phone, made some 1 hours typing tutorials on it everyday for a month or more and now its smooth.
I still can type on qwerty but its soo strange and I totally lost the grip with it but I wasn't a touch typer on qwerty now I am with Dvorak.
I prefer programmer Dvorak over traditional Dvorak

Vim doesn't have an integrated debugger. What will you Vim fans do now?
Edit: No, I'm not a hater. -
BenAfonso927y@Michelle "Jedïs don't need debuggers." But they can still get some ! Check vimawesome, there's tons of awesome plugins to make vim even more awesome ahah

You think if someone use vim then he/she is a master of programming? Nope
Anyone thinks this way is just an idiot not a master 😉 -
Colemak > Dvorak TBH
Been using it for 2 years. Analysis from carpalx say that has a slight advantage over Dvorak for fatigue while retaining the qwzxcvb positions for shortcuts. -
marcom4597yThere is fresh wind with neovim, they got rid of the shitty code base and lots of limitations. Don't get me wrong, loving vim but neo has been created for some serious reasons. Give it a try and you will see what I mean.
And for Dvorak, never had the time for such a big muscle memory change :) Is it worth it or just fancy to master it? -
@marcom within a month I knew how to use it without problems. But switched back to qwerty for ease of using other Pcs

I switched to vim as a main IDE (yes IDE) just so that common people can think I'm a fcking wizard seeing my dusty trackpad... And also to see their face when they try to show me their programming talents on my laptop 😏
