Have Chinese as my mother tongue and learning Japanese at my own pace. Unfortunately,
my Chinese isn't that of China, Hong Kong (they do learn it I believe) or Taiwan. -
On a more serious note, Japanese and Chinese are both really good choices, they're so different from your usual Latin family language.
I would suggest Japanese because anime :p -
Root797347yI stumbled upon a Chinese talk radio station on the way home from work.
Made for an interesting listen. -
I'm not Japanese, but I've studied the language for 4 years.
The most difficult part is memorizing ALL the kanji. The characters are difficult to write, each word has different forms of kanji which has different meanings. Combing one kanji character with another changes the meaning into something unrelated.
So if you study Japanese, try avoiding Kanji for the first year or two.
I'm thinking of picking up a 4th language, since I didn't really enjoy german (no offense).
Any japanese or chinese people in here?
