I just cleared out 48,158 monitoring emails from work. These are all automated emails received between mid May and end of November. Outlook is now pouting in a corner and not responding, but I'm not done cleaning up yet...

@irene I'll see if outlook has that once it's done sulking. I can't create my own. But maybe there's an outlook rule I can create

If you want to delete a pile of Outlook emails, I recommend doing it in OWA in the future.

@QueenMorgana I create a bunch of folders and rules.
And I know which folders are useless and delete those unread emails weekly.

@github I have folders, but my job involves reading ALL the monitoring emails we get daily and deciding how to respond to them. I just fucked up by not clearing things out sooner

@QueenMorgana do you have different sorts of monitors?

Since you mentioned you already have folders,
Assuming you already have 7 folders for different monitors, you can have some folders with rules like emails sent to whole team, or identify common but unrelevent emails.

Outlook offers a great flexibility in setting up rules.

@github I have all that. I just haven't deleted the old ones that I no longer need.
