Why not gold though?

I distrust the government so much that I won't let my future be decided by a bunch of people printing papers.

Like @cho-uc said: gold and silver. Invest in things the governments can’t print.

This used to include real estate, though depending on your country, that might pop at some point soon.

Beef (and the like) might also be worthwhile, given the last decade’s push to “eat ze bugs” and all of the meat and egg plants exploding/catching fire/being poisoned/used as an impromptu single-plane aircraft hangar.
