A-C-E56527y@Dacexi I thought legally (in the US anyways) it’s automatically copyrighted to you
Like do you even NEED to put a year? -
@DeveloperACE In the UK, anything you make (from books to music) is automatically copyrighted to you until 70 to 80 years (depending on what it is) after you die.
I think. I'm not a lawyer. -
A-C-E56527yThe smart ones will just add a <?php echo date(“YYYY”); ?> or whatever the syntax is and be good forever
-
Dacexi119967y@DeveloperACE the smart ones will not use php 🤔
Jk. I have nothing against php, I just don't use it anymore due to node. -
sonrisa14437y"There is no reason at all for an individual to update the copyright year, because in the U.S. and Europe the life of copyright is the life of the author plus 70 years (50 years in some other countries like Canada and Australia). Extending the date does not extend the copyright. This also applies when a page has multiple contributors none of which are corporations. "
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
