coolq48207yI tried d&d, I thought it was okay.
Later I tried Pathfinder, the adventure card game (yeah, yeah ik) and loved it.
Was introduced to it by my family :) -
@coolq the card game? Never tried it but it could be fun? I will check it out sometime.

I do tabletop for the same reasons, particularly around problem solving. I don't know how I even started, it's been so long.

Root797737yI had an ex that was super into d&d.
It was actually fun once I got over how insanely nerdy I felt. -
@Root for the first time ever, I now have a friend who thinks that tabletop RPGs are too nerdy to be cool/fun. ...Which is a shame because I think they'd really enjoy playing with us.

Try Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2, they come pretty close to tabletop RPGs (or so I'm told)! 2 even has a game master mode.
I wish I had friends who were into tabletops, the best I can do is play Divinity or old games like Baldur's Gate. Or make up random stuff during a particularly boring lecture class and play through it on my own using a set of d10s.
I've never played a proper game of D&D or any other tabletop RPG :(
I really want to. Oh well, some day. -
@RememberMe no digital game can come close though. Anything digital is programmed, and its impossible to make anything be used in a way it wasnt meant for.
Lets say ive got a big ladder and spikes, in a tabletop rpg I could make an improvised weapon from it. For that to be possible in a digital game it needs to be programmed. -
@Codex404
yeah. I get that. Which is why I want to play a legit tabletop RPG. Still gotta find people to play with, one good (i.e. convenient) thing about computer RPGs is that they have singleplayer and online multiplayer :/

Who of you play/like Tabletop RPGs more than computergames RPGs?
I personally hate it when i dont have the freedom to be the character I want to be in a digital RPG.
So I started looking into Dungeons and Dragons a few years back and finally decided to start playing Pathfinder because it was gaining more and more popularity.
So do you play tabletop RPGs, if so how did you get introduced to it?
