Devrant iOS app removed from my region's App Store for some reason. Can use the web app but cannot use iOS app. That is kinda unfair. It was there before. :(

What better place to rant about it than at devrant xD

    We’ve been trying to get ahold of @dfox about this to no avail. I’m worried about devRant. 🙁

    @Lensflare It's the official now

    @retoor Apple disagrees 😅

    @Lensflare imagine that they have the power to say that. Such fascism. Believing they have that power is also fascism

    @retoor It’s correct in that sense that only the right holders of devRant are allowed to make an app that is the official app. There is a real problem of copycat apps which steal the business of official apps. I understand that.

    However, in this specific case of devrant, it’s also a service, which has a public rest api and that implies that it is specifically allowed or even desired to have unofficial clients.

    This is what Apple (or those reviewers) fail to understand. I specifically state in the app description that it’s NOT the official app and do everything to avoid that impression. But Apple insists on it trying to be a deceiving copycat app.

    That’s what drives me insane.

    @Lensflare Is it available on TestFlight or such?

    @Root yes, TestFlight. The link is in the github repo readme.

    There is currently a little bug that navigates to the rant twice when you select it from the notifications list. I’m too lazy to fix that and I am ashamed for it 😅
