Dear developer guy who wrote this documentation node!

You're a developer yourself. Don't you know that inverse psychology is something you should avoid, because it will not work?

Thanks!

Okay for real, why shouldn't one parse Build.FINGERPRINT on Android? I was looking for a way to determine if the device is an emulator or not, and came across a solution using this, and read the documentation.

... Why are you trying to determine if your app is running on an emulator?

I suspect one of the biggest problems is that if someone is running an emulator and want to hide that from your app, they will...

@atheist Easy captain, why so serious? Shame on me for trying out new things in a sandbox app. If somebody else uses this application, then my biggest problem will be to find out how on earth was my computer remotely accessed, and why would anyone hack an application that has less use than hello world.

The 'rant' was related to the lack of proper documentation, I did not ask for code review.

@usethedocsluke sorry about that, I wasn't trying to criticise, I was intrigued as to why you were doing what you are doing. Also making the observations about vm's as we've looked at trying to secure against them in the past and concluded its not easy, so we paid for a third party security solution.
