    @AL1L I’ve had issues all day with random parts giving 404s, fwiw. but it didn’t bother my flow... who works _from_ github? Unless you’re just browsing projects, anything you work on is presumably on your local machine... I guess maybe the issue resolution gets delayed a bit, but who cares about issue resolution ;P

    @ewpratten fair enough. But I wasn’t implying it wasn’t annoying... it is/was. But it isn’t really so tragic for most workflows.

    This is why it's bad to be dependent from some single site. Think of all the projects that depend on it. If github was open source everyone could host their own versions of the site (with the same interface), all of them would have the same projects. Then we could have a few popular githubs instead of one, so when one of them went down we could still use another one.
