Look at this beautiful perfectly targetted at that showed up under my rant over poker. I stated where I've played and what my conclusions about poker were. It repeats those parts in his story and advises a different poker site. This is targeting 2.0. It's not even annoying, it could've been useful actually. The annoying part of advertisement is repeating because we're just not that interested and they hope to get you on a weak moment. But imagine if the strategy was targeting so good, that it has a conversion rate of 20 - 30% that a user clicked on it. You won't be needing to have adblock and consider the ads even interesting. Maybe the future of advertisement is bright. Imagine that the mindset becomes "Oh, an add, interesting" and regularly clicking on it

A few years ago someone posted here about their struggle with gambling addiction. It was a long rant and contained every keyword imaginable. Every few months I still get a notification about a new gambling ad posted below that post. I know it's all automated and emotion is wasted on them but it still makes my blood boil.

What's the battery recycling status symbol (5th from both sides), I've never seen that one before.

@lorentz you have it too if you have a decent phone, but maybe it's Samsung only, it's powersaving. I have it always enabled, I've no idea what the downsides are, steaming and Bluetooth headphone discovery just work fine. It throttles down cpu for 70%, I don't notice anything. It's fast as pony. Screen brightness 10% less, I've manually changed that. And it claims that it limits background bandwidth and locationing. Fine, I still receive notifications anyway. I have 23% battery left and 13 hours remainin it says. Heh, I don't freaking think so. On the previous screenshot the battery was just 3% while it wasn't taking long ago. That's how fast the oculus quest 2 charger chargers, the one that broke my headphones. I do understand it's prolly bad for my device, but so far device is doing fine, also lasting in battery. Around 1,5 day is the requirement any more

I realize that this was the opposite of a rant and even about an impopulair subject. Who upvotes this. I'm a sucky member, failed ranter. Too happy to function

@retoor dont do samsung health tracking and power saving, i learned the hard way

@feuerherz share you experiences. I always liked the health app actually, I used it extensively. What's wrong? I stay away from anything Samsung software related in exception of OS of phone. But it seems that Samsung did a good job on Android according to linus tech tips. He said that bare android really sucks

@retoor The health app is great, but with power saving it cant track the location and in the end it will show weird lines. Also in samsung health i once had weird demoversion data flooded in my account, which made me distrust it. But i sync my runs from Samsung health to strava anyways.

@feuerherz oh yh, that's true. You had someone others data in your app. Weird af
