I personally don't get the wordpress hate shure I wouldn't use it for lage company sites or something with more than mostly static content (also I would avoid coding for it) but for a small blog or a small barbershop website it is the best option so the owners have a chance to service it theirself isn't it ?

@mee4895 it turns ugly really fast as clients needs grows. Now you have to update, but one plugin that used to work does not and he has added plugin x but needs feature y and there are no alternatives and...
Maybe only I have bad experience with it.. or i'm bad programmer in general. Use Processwire.

It's extremely slow, buggy, used for every possible scenario and a real pain for any dev forced to customize it. And the fact that's it's PHP...
