@retoor well we live in a post-soviet block multi-apartment building. So yes, we have a shared staircase, so our neighbours could reach their apartments

Communal staircases have their own particular smell. Maybe they buy cans of it and spray it when nobody's there.

Always this kind of boiled cabbage and fag ash combo, with varying amounts of piss depending on how upmarket the building is.

This is why people put electricity on political signs this year. Not saying you should, but I wouldn't judge.
