When devs post misogynist crap on devRant...😩😩😩⬇️⬇️⬇️

It appears the exact post I was referring to has been deleted now... But don't worry. I've seen others.

When feminists can't take a joke.. I'm sure the post was truly about hating women :) I hate everybody no matter what sex you are.

I don't mind jokes... if they're funny.

Go ahead and downvote me for telling it like it is... Software's not a boys club anymore 💔

Just to add my thoughts here - we don't encourage posts like that, and looking at the one in question, while it was a pretty dumb, irrelevant post, I don't think it warrants a rant about it. I think that only serves to give it more attention.

We have a downvote button for a reason, and of something receives enough downvotes in a period of time/other conditions, it becomes very hard to find.

Also, I've seen pretty much every rant since the beginning of the app and I follow most threads, and the interactions between the women and men on the app so far have been very positive. I wouldn't judge the community by a single post or even a few. Some people might have other points of view, but I think it's important we respect them all and like it was said before, this is an app for fun and it is going to be edgier than some other communities.

That post deserved a rant because it wasn't even development related... Just a lame, sexist joke. That's my take.

While I agree that most of the interactions here /are/ positive... That was an ignorant post, and seeing things like that is not welcoming to the female devs here.

I'm a heavy user of the downvote button, btw. And jokes that demean women are not "edgy".

For the record, I'm not upset or anything. Just raising awareness ❤️
