@Linux before 17.10.1 I haven't been able to get VMware running, just a black screen so I've been stuck using a windows installation, now it runs and I can go full Linux with a windows VM

Fusion or workstation? Both have worked for me without problem since 4.04 :) -
@Linux workstation player, no idea what has changed but it's working now so I'll just accept it lol

@memanikantan yeah but I never liked virtual box, was very clunky compared to VMware in my opinion, plus I've always had better performance with VMware
