shasha3448y"Javascript the good parts" it's the worst book about Javascript I've ever read. Completely unscientific, no explanation about why those parts are good and other aren't.
-
anamus7258y@shasha Did you actually read the book? :) I think it had plenty of comparison & explanations included. Just my 5 cents..
-
shasha3448y@anamus yes, I read the book. I haven't found enough explanations or satisfying ones. It's not a scientific book but a book full of personal opinions of the author.

lasha08yOpinion or not, Crockford does an amazing job of breaking down all the capabilities of JavaScript, and exemplifying various implementations of popular programming concepts. An "opinion" from someone with a ton of experience on a particular matter holds more value than the opinion of someone who hates on the matter with little to no substance.

shasha3448y@lasha no one stops you from loving an adoring Crockford's book. At least you'll be in the club of "facts without evidence lovers". Be my guest and all the best ;)

ChappIO46938y@shasha that's kind of condescending. I feel development is a lot about opinions and priorities. Very few technologies in our business are objectively better than others.
