Got a new team and teammember who has been here for years seemed not so happy having me now as lead. No problem, i even can understand him a bit. Still, if you have a f***** problem there are better times to address them then every f***** time at stand-ups. -.-

@wokeRoach Thanks a lot! I am glad to have found you all here ^^ Looking forward to a brighter, or at least more tolerable future

Some people have to get their act together.

@CWins Yes. Sadly quite resistant to any advice. Would be too easy otherwise ^^

@Michax Isn't that what standups are for though? Making the whole team suffer?

That's why you do them standing up. Discomfort cuts unnecessary words, keeps meetings short.

If it's not enough, you could use glowing cinders on the floor, or have the greasiest guy from sales lick the cheek of the dev who is talking.

@bittersweet I like the Cinder Idea but would substitute it for Legos. Sales guy idea also has merit but i would hate to have to clean up all the slimy stuff he leaves behind.

And yes...keeping it short would be wonderful. Thats why discussions like that would be great to not have added to all the other stuff we supposedly have to have. :)

Hmm, usually being able to get back to work with a short stop at the coffeemaker is reward enough. But...maybe we could think of something else ^^

We usually keep it at 15 min max, most of the time more like 10 minutes. :)
