@zokazavevu I would but ATM I don't see the use of java anymore, and I'm glad I'm not forced at school to write it

@qbalsdon smart cards are great and imo the most secure ATM (the normal once not the one that have a embedded MCU)

tl;dr: don't knock it till you can document why it's a bad idea
@inpothet here's some friendly advice: don't brush technology aside too quickly, especially established stuff. It makes you sound a little arrogant and it displays quite a bit of ignorance. I hate java just as much as the next guy but looking back at 7 years of Android dev I have to say that Java has actually been good to me.
We are building on the shoulders of giants here, and Java may eventually fade into obscurity, but let me say something that will eventually echo in your mind one day: if you want to be a truly good developer, you will need to know quite a lot about Java before you reject it. If not for yourself then for the noobs that one day you will have to convince NOT to use it. Just having a popular opinion because it's popular will make you a very shallow dev (human being). -
@qbalsdon true on all, I have looked at java in the past and to be honest I might have made the hello world once. I don't hate it due to being popular to hate it (than I also have to hate php and I like it) but in hate it due to it being slow and insecure back in the past. And also because it seems a pain in the arse to make an Android app in java.
