He is doing other things too not just opening and closing tickets. Well at least my project manager does. He talks with clients and collect request, manage team, manage task priorities and so on which imo is much more exhausting than programming. But thats just mine project manager

Isn't it fun working at a company that doesn't appreciate Dev work? If you feel like your work isn't appreciated or respected, leave, there's always a better place to work at.
