How would you change CS education?

This weekly is getting really popular with so many rants coming in.
Shows the extent to which real coders/programmers/developers are tormented by the incompetent education system.
Here is my two cents:
Students should be taught to build their logic on paper before jumping on to their keyboards.

I think you’ll get a lot of hate for this but I agree. I work in an enterprise environment with some absolutely shit hot developers. Way WAY better than I will ever be.

Before we start a new project we whiteboard the whole thing.

I absolutely do think so, too. But the logic should be done on paper. Not 2-3 java classes and Interfaces with points taken for missing a curly brace or semicolon on page 3.
