Yeah. I meant "wonder". Kind of a PJ, I know. That's what 5 straight days of android programming does to me -.-
-
@meltdown I like kotlin and C#, but I'm not that skilled in both of them to make a full fledged app now xD needs more practice.
-
@Wack tbh, I just heard about flutter yesterday. And thanks to stupid Java NPE and loads of crashes, haven't really got time to check the thing out.
I'm busy playing Rise of The Tomb Raider today xD -
Wack61917y@aurghyadip was ag a hackathon this weekend (well still are) and never wrote either a android or ios app. Now I got one up and running (don't look at the code though, it's a horrable mess. Like 15 classes in 3 files, spaghetti code and stuff duplicated accross methods, but hey... Hackathons...).
I was really impressed, by what flutter can do. (However getting it to an actual android device instead of the emulator was a pain, as I never did that before :P) -
@Wack I am not also very familiar with Android App building, I hate Java tbh. If flutter can reduce the clutter, it'll be nice. XD
-
Wack61917y@vlatkozelka have you taken a look at flutter? It's not crossplatform like a react native or something like that where business logic lives in a js realm and a ui is native, but it uses descriptive programming to have both busines and ui in the native format, thus eliminating the need for a "bridge"
(Okay I kind of sound like a fanboy here, but it is really nice :P) -
@raghulm I hate java tbh, so much boilerplate codes, unnecessary things, and useless complexity. Doesn't challenge you to be good.
-
@aurghyadip Yes, I agree.. Coding in c or c++ is like swimming with sharks. While java or advanced programming language is like swimming in baby pool with life jackets 😂
-
@raghulm not sure what you meant by advanced programming language. I can make Python dance, and sometimes python makes me cry and wants to blow my head off.
-
@aurghyadip my experience for past one and a half year is great so far. but I’ll only recommend getting a Mac if you plan to build stuff for iOS or macOS. Else at the same price you can get any other more powerful machine.
