Maybe they check the frequency of the hash. And your password is actually common, not unsafe.

@linuxxx I don't use passwords anymore, either key auth, or oauth2 or if I have to absolutely, then passphrase but never password. Well explained in this xkcd

@irene if that's saved in the database they could just drop the salted column since that's useless then.
And calculating the non-salted hash from salt and hash is not possible.
And rehashing the login password with the salt of every single user is not viable since that would probably take hours.

Also steam has a auto debit licence or whatever that is called where without any bank passwords or anything steam can debit money from your account. So its obvious you need an extra layer of security.
