@Aporue-Sutol I think rally is one of the most crazy sports in the world. I mean they go 150 km/h on the road that’s not much wider than rally car while avoiding stupid people that try to cross the road when the car comes.

@athlon it's amazing how the drivers handle their cars so well while screaming down some gravel backroad with fans cluttering the streets.

Thinking back to the Group B days, when there weren't any fenced areas and people would be diving out of the way of a 600hp 1200kg chunk of steel moving at highway speeds

Imagine if car suspension failed - how many people would die.
But to be honest, people who stand outside the corner have death wish

@athlon that's the thrill of the sport! But yeah, say a spring or control arm failed, the car would understeer through a crowd of people... Good motivation to design good parts, and for the drivers to not screw up.

You know, Mäkinen, McRae and legendary cars: Audi Quattro, Lancia 037, Lancia Fulvia, Lancia Stratos, Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione, Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer (especially the Mäkinen’s one), Ford Escort (especially with Repsol paintjob), Austin Mini Cooper, Saab 96, Volvo Amazon, Ford/Lotus Cortina, Opel Kadett and many more

@athlon the Quattro Sport and McRae and his Impreza are what got me into rallying. I think '95-'05 is my favorite decade, though I would kill to own an old Audi Quattro or Lancia anything

Also, the raspy sounds of the engines and their ALS definitely didn't hurt.

@Aporue-Sutol well my favorite rally cars are Lancia Delta and Ford Escort. I would love to get one Delta Integrale Evo, or Escort Cosworth
