I dropped my phone and the charger port broke, so now I can't use devRant that often until the replacement comes.

At least I still have devRantron and the web app.

    Our college organised a fest yesterday and the day before wherein other colleges also sent their teams to perform.
    Yesterday some students of other college took my charger and went back without returning.
    I had no clue until only 3% battery was left.
    The team won ₹6000($92.10) and the turbo charger was with ₹1364($20.94) I'm getting the money instead of charger now while the amount would be cut from their prize money.
    As most of famous govt. Colleges in India are a bit far from city, it would take long till I get my new charger.

    @VTCoder at least you can still charge your phone using someone else's charger. Your situation is still better than her xD

    probably a cold joint, take it apart and reflow the solder on the charger port joints

    @Condor
    I'm not a hardware person, I'm afraid of causing more damage to it. I'll probably practice that on something useless, before I try it on my phone.

    Thanks for the advice tho. :)

    Oh shit... I just realized I needed to back everything up, but it ran out of charge...

    Delightful. Everything is simply delightful...

    @Michelle is it one of those phones that come with integrated battery?

    Yes, your comment was offensive. Thank you for deleting it.

    @Michelle Well, that's bad, there's no point in risking to open it, unless you feel adventurous enough xD

    @Condor don't scare her, there is the soldermask to help the solder stay only in the places where it should be so the repair can easily be done even with chisel tip and any common leaded solder (Sn60Pb40 with flux core is the easiest one to work with IMO)
