It’s like living with your parents, but a hundred of them. I can’t do it. I worked in IT support before becoming a dev and I never wanna go back. Kudos to you for your patience.

@MrJimmy I don't even have to work for a non-IT startup and I am daily asked to: Fix the router(ok that is actually reasonable because I am the only one that knows the webadmin password and vaguely how that messy UI works), fix the TV, fix the vacuum cleaner, fix the printer, fix the phone charger, fix the washing machine, fix a broken digitizer on a phone(like literally shattered glass and they expect me to magically fix it without providing me with a new part and required tools to disassemble the phone and searate the LCD from the digitizer // lots of fun when they are glued together on the whole area of the screen), fix the alarm clock, fix the camera, fix the iron(the one used for making clothes look nice and straight)... basically anything that uses electricity... I am like the go to fix-it guy for my family... pls kill me

Being a programmer on a non-tech startup company is not too bad. That means aside from coding:
- You have to check if the office printer works
- You need to figure out why the phone lines aren't ringing
- You have to teach a stupid colleague on how to unzip a file
- When they give you a task, they'll say that it's "not urgent", but, they just "need it by tomorrow"
- You have to be a "mind-reader" because if something goes wrong, they don't know how to describe what's going on. Or probably, they're just too lazy being specific. They'll just say, "Hey, I have a problem.", and you will be like "What problem? Your dog is sick? You shit your pants? You lost your faith in God? Fuck what?"
- You don't have a time to "focus", because everyone interrupts you for just about anything related to "technology". Yeah, because you're the IT guy
- You always have learned and applied the latest practices/stacks, but no one gives a fuck
- You will start to re-think your life and devrants make you feel better
