@Lahsen2016 Wasn't a botnet, there's a new amplification technique using memcached servers that amplifies your ddos traffic 52000 fold.

Also the attack on GitHub has already been beaten again with 1.7 Tbps

@Lahsen2016 A friend of mine has built a quite neat botnet of 100.000 clients in a week (abandoned it though). Using a malware toolkit thing. Script kiddie, but he still managed to make it spread. I don't think that it's too unlikely.

Although, why would anyone attack github?

@paranoidAndroid well you're clearly not paranoid enough. Attacking bad people or bad things is easy. If you really hate yourself and life itself you attack things that don't deserve it. That's evil in its purest form.
People killing innocent people, school shootings etc.
