There are days I work hard and nobody notices. Today I have done almost nothing and nobody notices.

Independence is bittersweet

I know that feeling. Telecommute as a director of IT and Web development. 2 years in and I'm starting to think I just work for a nameless machine pumping out requests. I can go a week without lifting a finger and there isn't so much as a message checking if I'm okay.
