okkimus17187yNo-one really cares. As long as it has a keyboard and a screen you are good to go. Wi-Fi/ethernet is a plus if you want to use online resources. That is it.

If you're just starting out you can do so on anything. A frickin Raspberry Pi is enough, seriously.
But yeah, I second the above comments. Get a Windows laptop, install Linux if you want (I think Windows is great for programming, too. It just depends on the tools you use and how you use them). -
jakobev23957yIt depends on what you want. if you want to develop games with unreal or unity i would go for Windows or the other thing with this ugly apple on it. For all other things i recommend linux.
