Suppose you wrote a library for some purpose in a language. How do you get other devs to use it? How does it become known among the devs, assuming it follows proper language guidelines and fulfills it's purpose?

Github is a good way of showing the work... as for getting the weird out so people will find it there, you could tri tip use it to solve a problem on an open source project maybe. Or if you have s good blog following. Oh and plug it in on StackOverfliw if you find a question that calls for it
