Do you give back to the projects you have built your skills and knowledge from?

I try to. I try to be active in submitting and triaging bugs in open source projects that I use a lot. If I know how to fix a bug I'll also try to do that sometimes. I'd like to do more but don't have a ton of extra time. Anything you recommend doing?

That's great to hear, developers should be encouraged to do this as it allows us to develop a understanding of how our tools work and even how we can improve them, which a lot of miss out on.

Agreed, it would be nice if more people contributed. I think sometimes it also comes down to the project too to encourage outside contributions and community involvement.
