olback107947y@Brolls That's not what's causing the noise though. It's the hinge thing under the seat.
And no, lube does not help. -
Brolls31157y@olback mine hasn’t made any noise there as yet... I’ll keep an eye on it, but at the price point and what I’m swapping from, I’ll probably still be pretty happy.

I had that exact chair. Broke less than a month after getting it set up. It's cheap for a reason. The main problem is in the arm rests. They are expected to hold up the weight of both you and the back rest, but they are just plastic with metal washers embedded, rather than a steel shank within the plastic for support.
If you are very light, it "shouldn't" be a problem. But if you weigh more than 150 lbs, I would recommend never leaning back in it. -
Brolls31157y@olback what kind of noise is it? I get a slight clicky / velcro like sound when returning from a reclining position, but that’s about it.

Brolls31157y@JMoodyFWD good to know! I’m on the heavier side, so I’ll let you know how it goes.
Seems pretty sturdy and stable so far though, and it doesn’t recline very far (probably for this reason!).
Honestly though, at £60 and run through the business, it’s probably worth it for the time being.
