The main thing is that there is no real quality check for all the libs and snippets..
If you compare it to the php community back then, that's like 2 different worlds.
There are classes and libs and everything that felt really high quality. But with JS i feel like after you shoveled yourself through the 7 packages doing the same thing you need right now, all missing a different essential feature, there is still this "meh.." feeling. Not always, don't get me wrong.

TL;DR:
Pls don't release libs just cus you can
