Well, it's closed source so you can't verify shit. It uses end to end encryption for the messages but any and all metadata isn't protected and saved on their servers.
I'd call it insecure, taking this in mind. -

Hey guys,
I have decided to stop worrying about privacy. I have nothing to hide so why should I even care.
I just created an Instagram and a Facebook account and I also installed WhatsApp again and I ordered an Amazon Alexa and a Google home device as well. These voice assistants are just so useful 😊.
I am also gonna use windows again, everything just works and it is the most used operating system so it has to be the best one! It is way securer than Linux because it is not open source and thus hackers can't find vulnerabilities because they can't see the code.
