For documentation websites, I think design is that least of someone's worries lol
Just get me the information i need, and get it to me quickly/easily. -
I agree in that they are ugly and need some revamping. But i am more concerned with the documentation.
The .net docs are also really ugly. I really despise those bright colors. Makes me think of cheap plastic. -
What I like most about oracle's doc sites is that it's quite easy to see a tree structure in it, unlike the msdn (.net).

criscola4687yYes this is quite unbelievable especially because one of the aim of JavaFX is to "beautify" UIs in a more customizable way using stuff like CSS-like syntax etc.
Oracle really need to hire a new front-end web developer. Their site is not very beautiful, especially their JavaFX documentation sites.
