				It doesnt necessarily matter. I had no experience, only had worked on my private project for 3 years, then I asked for an Internship at a local company that I found on stackoverflow and they offered me a paid job :)
 Even if you have zero job experience and no degree you can get a job if you can code. I guess a git project you can show them also helps.

				@fmakias hmm so you started programming in the last few years? What did you do before that? maybe you can combine that?

				Do some work for marginally low rates on UpWork (basically work a bit almost for free). That will give you experience and some coffee money. You can then reference your work there as experience.
