A few days ago I posted a comment on a youtube short which got me 1.3k likes.
It‘s hilarious when you compare it to devrant, which probably doesn’t even have that many users, let alone active ones.
Still, I have no interest in becoming a youtuber and I rather stay on devrant.
It feels like there are more than enough channels on youtube to cover any topic and any taste already. I don‘t have anything unique to add to it. -
retoor48045d@Lensflare there's always room left of a live coder. I can't do the reasoning and talking while thinking like tsoding can, but else it would've really be something for me. I have always unique projects, just like tsoding. Also, I'm very not mainstream in my ways, I think it could be more interesting than some other YouTubers doing things by the book. My channel would be about reinventing the wheel, but really reinvent, make smth without copying existing techniques.

@retoor I've seen people do good with just explaining it afterwards and just "re-implement" it on screen for illustrative purposes
-
retoor48044d@BordedDev ah yes, agree on that. tsoding also often shows the first few minutes what he's made. That's a good idea, because if you have 3hr long video's and people don't know if it's worth to watch - people prolly won't or will scroll to end first anyway.
-
@retoor Yeah, there is one of those rules, like never have more than 30 seconds of dead air. That's why for good streamers they are either talking or something is happening on screen
-
retoor48044d@BordedDev i can hold my breath often while coding when it gets exciting :P How big nerd am i? :P

Man the video has 401 views. You're not in a position of giving advice on becoming a YouTuber.
Heck I was a better YouTube when I was 12 with my channel.
Remember that I said that many of y'all here can be YouTubers?
I posted a roadmap video for you to become one
https://youtube.com/watch/...
Watch it, implement it and watch the $$$ roll in.
