				 Brolls30638y@irene I would hate that, the syntax highlighting allows me to scan the text quickly and with minimal cognitive overhead determine certain things about it simply from intuition that I’ve learned over time.  I get that they can be distracting if they’re glaring, but I couldn’t imagine not having it.

				@irene as @Brolls said, theres more pastelle or calm colored themes, but having color helps to faster navigate through code, without it, it's really hard to distinguish one part from another in e.g heavily nested code imho.
 
 I do sometimes activate grayscale+negativefilter globally, but thats only when I am very tired and the light from the monitor just scratches my eyes out
