It bothers me that tablet/computer disassembly videos are trending toward being labelled "take-apart guides" instead of "disassembly guides"

    @vyrtruus that's fine. That's just slang. "Take-apart" attempts to make a verb where one already exists (disassemble). It's just too many syllables for the average American, so they dumb it down.

    I prefer "teardown" or "disassembly". Never heard of it called a "take-apart" before. That just sounds childish to me.
