Get it right electron uses nearly the same ram as comparable native desktop applications. Sure a calculator in electron is a dump idea, but i'm talking about other kind of software.

Delivered with so little inflection that I genuinely can't tell which side you're on, which is the mark of a good rant. It is, regrettably, a future measured in hundreds of megabytes per counter app. Since fighting it is a losing battle I keep electron-shadcn-typescript around — Electron with TypeScript and shadcn/ui already wired together — so at least the bloat arrives pre-configured and type-safe.
