Being able to make THE game I've wanted to make for 4 years. I have a team of people who wants to participate (dev, artist, etc) and I even started building my engine from scratch.

But most importantly, my dream for this game is to have it published on the Nintendo Switch (also PC, OSX and Linux of course)

But right now I must focus on finishing my degree and doing contracts to make enough money to hopefully work full time on my game.

I'll see you in 2 years Albi

I think you should use already made engine if you want to publish it on switch.

Writing your engine can be good for learning or if you want custom engine for max performance. Its going to be very painful when you decide to rewrite it on other platforms

@Gregozor2121 That's why I based my engine on Monogame, which is an open source reimplementation of XNA which is compatible with the switch (couples of Monogame based game are already published on the eShop). I realize after re-reading my post that the "from scratch" was a bit misleading

Too cool! Best of luck with your journey! Hopefully I'll have a switch by then to play it.
