bahua129047yIf you're bored, and you do web development, try doing system development. I find it much more fulfilling and challenging, and it makes me more mindful of development best practices.

So I was in the same boat as well, and just last week Tuesday I stood up and went to my CTO, and told him that I took on work because I thought it would impress my peers and help me climb the ladder. The short of it is I said “Fuck all this bullshit work” I want just two things out of this, to be effective and Happy... so I will be doing mobile dev here on out because that’s what makes me happy. Ironically because I love it so much I am super effective and that drives my happiness up.

cursee171596y@MisterArie one day I listed down the shits overdue, shits need to do, shits want to do. 😛 It was an ugly list.
I also don't know. I guess it's just right time. I slowly changed my routine and focus on matters on daily basis and eventually my daily routine is quite different from before.
I abandoned social media (except this and occasional reddit). I do my best to sleep 6-7hrs a night and make sure to get up by 5am. I don't work at weekends. I try to eat properly.
I do my best to note things down from tasks to small and useful info so my mind doesn't have to worry about them and focus more on the actual process of working.
I started listening podcasts.
I decided to own a proper dev desk as a goal.
It has been months that I am not working productively. Probably almost a year. I am not sure. Especially development related work. I would only start work at the very very late last minute (mainly because of clients and deadlines) and the outcome is usually very poor. Something is definitely wrong with me.
