I'm not a PM, but that's funny!

Most PMs do it to themselves. I've worked with many that are too deep in the sales/marketing camp that they can't properly manage the project. They become a puppet, allowing things like scope creep, a spinning wheel of priorities, and assignment shuffling. I now work with one that is amazing. She puts the defined goals and timelines first, and supports the development team ... makes all the difference in the world.

I believe PM's that are technical and understand development have an advantage over non tech PM's.
